Now That’s A Plan: Teachers Will Be Carrying Guns To School This Year In  Arkansas

By / 30 July 2013

teacher-gunsTeachers and staff at Clarksville  High School in Arkansas have undergone 53  hours of intensive weapons  training in recent weeks, and they stand ready  for school doors to open this  fall — locked and loaded, ready to fend off  the type of disaster that rocked a  Connecticut community in December and  left 20 children dead.

“The plan we’ve been given in the past is, ‘Well, lock your doors, turn  off  your lights and hope for the best,’” Superintendent David  Hopkins said, in The Associated Press. But  school shootings continued to  take place around the nation. And in  response, the district decided, he said,  “That’s not a plan.”

So come fall, at Clarksville, Assistant  Principal Cheyne Dougan will be packing a 9  mm handgun, AP  reported. And more than 20 other teachers, administrators and  school  staffers will be similarly armed.

Arkansas law lets schools employ licensed, armed security guards — and  the  teachers and staffers met that criteria, after they took the 53 hours  of  required gun training, AP reported.

“We’re not tying our money up in a guard 24/7 that we won’t have to  have  unless something happens,” said Mr.  Hopkins, in the AP reported. “We’ve got these  people who are already hired  and using them in other areas. Hopefully,  we’ll never have to use them as a  security guard.”

Saudi Royal Family Getting a Little Freaked Out About US  Energy Boom

Posted  on July 30, 2013 by Cowboy Byte

The fracking and natural gas boom in the United States has the potential to  overtake Saudi Arabia in terms of energy production and the Saudi royal family  is getting very nervous about it.

A Saudi prince has warned that his oil-reliant nation is under threat  because of fracking technology being developed elsewhere around the world.

Billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal said the Gulf Arab kingdom needed  to reduce its reliance on crude oil and diversify its revenues.

His warning comes as rising shale energy supplies in the United States  cut global demand for Saudi oil.

In an open letter to his country’s oil minister Ali al Naimi and other  government heads, published on Sunday via his Twitter account, Prince Alwaleed  said demand for oil from Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries  (Opec) member states was “in continuous decline”.

(Frosty Wooldridge (born 1947) is a US journalist, writer, environmentalist, traveler)

DETROIT By Frosty Wooldridge

For 15 years, from the mid 1970’s to 1990, I worked in Detroit , Michigan .  I watched it descend into the abyss of crime, debauchery, gunplay, drugs, school truancy, car-jacking, gangs and human depravity.  I watched entire city blocks burned out.  I watched graffiti explode on buildings, cars, trucks, buses and school yards. Trash everywhere!

Detroiters walked through it, tossed more into it, and ignored it.  Tens of thousands, and then hundreds of thousands today exist on federal welfare, free housing, and food stamps!

With Aid to Dependent Children, minority women birthed eight to 10, and in one case, one woman birthed 24 children as reported by the Detroit Free Press, all on American taxpayer dollars.

A new child meant a new car payment, new TV, and whatever mom wanted. I saw Lyndon Baines Johnson’s ‘Great Society’ flourish in Detroit .  If you give money for doing nothing, you will get more hands out taking money for doing nothing.

Mayor Coleman Young, perhaps the most corrupt mayor in America , outside of Richard Daley in Chicago , rode Detroit down to its knees…   He set the benchmark for cronyism, incompetence, and arrogance. As a black man, he said, “I am the MFIC.” The IC meant “in charge”.  You can figure out the rest.  A.

Detroit became a majority black city with 67 percent African-Americans.

As a United Van Lines truck driver for my summer job from teaching math and science, I loaded hundreds of American families into my van for a new life in another city or state.

Detroit plummeted from 1.8 million citizens to 912,000 today.  At the same time, legal and illegal immigrants converged on the city for the free government handouts, so much so, that Muslims number over 300,000. Mexicans number 400,000 throughout Michigan, but most work in Detroit .  As the whites moved out, the Muslims moved in.

As the crimes became more violent, the whites fled.  Finally, unlawful Mexicans moved in at a torrid pace. Detroit suffers so much shoplifting that grocery stores no longer operate in many inner city locations.  You could cut the racial tension in the air with a knife! Detroit may be one of our best examples of multiculturalism: pure dislike, and total separation from America .

Today, you hear Muslim calls to worship over the city like a new American Baghdad with hundreds of Islamic mosques in Michigan , paid for by Saudi Arabian oil money.  High school flunk-out rates reached 76 percent last June, according to NBC’s Brian Williams. Classrooms resemble more foreign countries than America .. English? Few speak it!  The city features a 50 percent illiteracy rate and growing.

Unemployment hit 28.9 percent in 2009 as the auto industry vacated the city.  In Time‚ Magazine on October 4, 2009, “The Tragedy of Detroit : How a great city fell, and how it can rise again,”  I choked on the writer’s description of what happened.  “If Detroit had been ravaged by a hurricane, and submerged by a ravenous flood, we’d know a lot more about it,” said Daniel Okrent.  “If drought and carelessness had spread brush fires across the city, we’d see it on the evening news every night.  ” Earthquake, tornadoes, you name it, if natural disaster had devastated the city that was once the living proof of American prosperity, the rest of the country might take notice.

But Detroit , once our fourth largest city, now 11th and slipping rapidly, has had no such luck.  Its disaster has long been a slow unwinding that seemed to remove it from the rest of the country.

Even the death rattle that in the past year emanated from its signature industry brought more attention to the auto executives than to the people of the city, who had for so long been victimized by their dreadful decision making.”

As Coleman Young’s corruption brought the city to its knees, no amount of federal dollars could save the incredible payoffs, kickbacks and illegality permeating his administration.  I witnessed the city’s death from the seat of my 18-wheeler tractor trailer because I moved people out of every sector of decaying Detroit .

“By any quantifiable standard, the city is on life support.  Detroit ‘s treasury is $300 million short of the funds needed to provide the barest municipal services,” Okrent said.  “The school system, which six years ago was compelled by the teachers’ union to reject a philanthropist’s offer of $200 million to build 15 small, independent charter high schools, is in receivership.  The murder rate is soaring, and 7 out of 10 remain unsolved.  Three years after Katrina devastated New Orleans, unemployment in that city hit a peak of 11%.  In Detroit today, the unemployment rate is 28.9%.  That’s worth spelling out: twenty-eight point nine percent.

At the end of Okrent’s report, and he will write a dozen more about Detroit, he said,  “That’s because the story of Detroit is not simply one of a great city’s collapse, it’s also about the erosion of the industries that helped build the country we know today.        The ultimate fate of Detroit will reveal much about the character of America in the 21st century.

If what was once the most prosperous manufacturing city in the nation has been brought to its knees, what does that say about our recent past?  And if it can’t find a way to get up, what does that say about Americas future?”

As you read in my book review of Chris Steiner’s book,”$20 Per Gallon”, the auto industry won’t come back.  Immigration will keep pouring more and more uneducated third world immigrants from the Middle East into Detroit , thus creating a beachhead for Islamic hegemony in America .  If 50 percent illiteracy continues, we will see more home-grown terrorists spawned out of the Muslim ghettos of Detroit .  Illiteracy plus Islam equals walking human bombs.

You have already seen it in Madrid, Spain;  London, England;  and Paris, France;  with train bombings, subway bombings and riots.      As their numbers grow, so will their power to enact their barbaric Sharia Law that negates republican forms of government, first amendment rights, and subjugates women to the lowest rungs on the human ladder.  We will see more honor killings by upset husbands, fathers and brothers that demand subjugation by their daughters, sisters and wives.  Muslims prefer beheadings of women to scare the hell out of any other members of their sect from straying.  Multiculturalism: what a perfect method to kill our language, culture, country and way of life.

Titled “Hungry Beast – Google Is Me”   Uploaded on Oct 21, 2009

At the time this was uploaded, most comments were scoffers, or jokers. The general attitude? One commenter –

( I Edited)   Err, guys… what makes you think that you’re so important? Seriously, besides obvious friends and family, who should give a flying f*** about you? You’re just one of millions of random schmucks on the internet. To Google, at most you’re a person who can be advertised certain products… I like video games and electronic entertainment… so I’ll probably get advertisements for video games and not something random like airline tickets.

Google isn’t Skynet, it’s the f*****g phonebook.

One commenter realized the gravity of this digital capturing:
The problem isn’t what information is stored, it’s who has access to it. Information stored about you now by Google could theoretically be recalled years from now by an employer or a state institution. Stupid but harmless things you’ve done that may not seem important now could be used against you in future. For a more informed opinion than random comments on Youtube, read Delete: The Virtue of Forgetting in a Digital Age by Victor Mayer-Schonberger

Google Earth never was funny. This post on YouTube, titled “Google Earth is not funny anymore” was uploaded back in Dec 2006.

The apathetic “so what” mentality is alive and well. This is a comment I copied from that posting:
“This kind of technology has been available for decades. We all know big brother has been watching, we all know his ability to do so has been improving every minute, so what’s the big deal?
We don’t complain when this technology enables a terrorist to be taken out as he drives down the street anywhere on earth, we all think that’s a good thing, so why is it a problem if you’re a law abiding citizen with nothing to hide?”

The problem is this:

I felt obligated to show the banner from Looploo’s page; this Christian blogger had nominated me for “Most Influential Blogger” award;  coming from this blogger, I will accept. The rules (established by whom, pray tell?) as follows, somehow remind me of a phenomenon I used to avoid – the notorious “chain letters” of the 60’s.  Call this skepticism the bit of Monty Python in me…             Not to disparage the honor by any means; still, (gold font) you can see my reason for this analogy.

The rules are:

  1. Display the award logo on your blog.
  2. Link back to the person who nominated you.
  3. Answer 7 questions.
  4. Nominate ( no limit of nominations ) other bloggers for this award and link back to them.
  5. Notify those bloggers of the award requirements.

The referred to “7 questions” are those posed by the nominator(s).  Loopy loo had stated that I could choose between those posed by the two persons who nominated Loopyloo’s blog.  Hmmm… Let me first list both bloggers “7 questions”:

First Biltrix:

1. If you could create your own planet what would it look like?

2. If you could visit one nation you have never visited before, what nation would that be?

3. Who is your favorite saint?

4. What is your favorite animal?

5. What is your favorite song?

6. If you could meet one person who is still alive who would you choose to meet?

7. Name a book that you have read (other than the bible) which has influenced your life and describe how it influenced you.

Next from the Mad Jewess:

1. What is your favorite bird?

2. What season do you like best?

3. If you could have a home by the sea or the mountains, what would you choose?

4. Do you like Vladimir Putin?

5. What decade do you like the best?

6. What is your favorite TV show?

7. Do you hate getting old?

I’m glad neither of these people are Rona Barrett…LOL  I would like to find out where this and other awards on WP originated.

I decided to go with Biltrix –

1. If you could create your own planet what would it look like?   If I could “create my own planet”, I would decline.  Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you ought to.

2. If you could visit one nation you have never visited before, what nation would that be?   Never having had a real vacation, I’d rather see much more of the U.S. than a foreign country.

3. Who is your favorite saint?   Got to love this innocent question posed by a Catholic Christian – WE are the living saints my dear- not a person who is “qualified” by a set of rules posed by a religious hierarchy. This is Scriptural!

4. What is your favorite animal?   Cats. In a heartbeat.

5. What is your favorite song?   Out of hundreds?…

Found this on YouTube – seems there is no concert video of Croce playing Time In A Bottle.

6.  If you could meet one person who is still alive who would you choose to meet?  Billy Graham  – before God calls him home. He’s 93…
7.  Name a book that you have read (other than the bible) which has influenced your life and describe how it influenced you.  Not an easy answer – I have to say Angels – God’s Secret Agents (1975 – Billy Graham).

Psalm 91:11  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Excerpt from flyleaf:  “The idea of the supernatural is widely accepted as fact but the emphasis seems to be on the occult and the forces of evil.”

Ask someone what they think about Angels. Did you know there is a ranking among angelic beings?  This book was a real eye-opener for me, though I had read of them in scripture. This book puts aside any misconceptions about these powerful beings.

I recommend this book to everyone; among the chapters; Angelic organization, Lucifer and the angelic rebellion, The personal ministry of angels, Angels and the gospel, Angels- God’s agents in judgment, and Angels in prophecy.

Now for my one nomination (many great bloggers, but here is your “first alert” on Islamic terrorists) :

Added as an afterthought – sent to swissdefenceleague:

P.S. the -rules- ask you to answer 7 questions; you could use the ones I answered, though it would be enlightening, as a great “first alert” source on these terrorists, if you posed seven questions of your own on Islam, and gave your own answers.

Palin Blasts Obama for Calling Scandals ‘Phony’

Posted  on July 28, 2013 by Cowboy Byte

On Friday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin blasted President Barack Obama for  calling his administration’s scandals “phony,” saying that was an “atrocious”  thing to do.

Appearing on Fox News’s On The Record, Palin referred to scandals like Fast  and Furious, Benghazi, the IRS’s targeting of conservatives, and the National  Security Agency’s domestic spying.

She then asked, “Which one is a phony scandal?”

Palin asked if Benghazi, where “200-plus years of honorable military ethos  was thrown out the window when we left our own to be slaughtered by Muslims,”  was a phony scandal.

She said the government “spies and lies,” and once again asked if all of  these scandals were phony.

“Americans are smarter than the lamestream media give them credit,” Palin  said, noting regular Americans are figuring out the “hypocrisies” and “lies”  coming from the Obama administration by doing their own homework.

Jane Fonda Wears ‘Hanoi Jane’ T-Shirt To Promote Nancy  Reagan Film

This is beyond insulting. This movie really needs to flop. Liberals will  probably give it an Oscar. Check it out:

Jane Fonda’s turn as Nancy Reagan has outraged fans of the former first  lady but the actress says “The Gipper’s” wife is happy she landed the  role.

“I don’t think that whatever differences there might be in our politics  really matters you know,” says the actress in a new clip promoting the film ‘The  Butler’ which follows the life of a White House worker who served eight  presidents.

A vocal liberal, Fonda sparked outraged in the 1970′s when she toured  North Vietnam, earning the moniker “Hanoi Jane” and critics blasted her casting  as Nancy Reagan when it was announced. Fonda wears a T-shirt featuring her own  image during the ‘Hanoi Jane’ days in the interview posted online.—clip-no–2-517869497
