There is an obscure verse in the Bible that seems to be speaking to America today as it spoke to ancient Israel – shortly before the nation was judged, invaded and dispersed.

It was through the work of a messianic rabbi in New Jersey that I learned of the striking parallels between what happened in Israel and what is already happening to the U.S. – all revolving around Isaiah 9:10.

Jonathan Cahn has a new book out on this subject called “The Harbinger.” And I am in the midst of producing a DVD documentary on the subject, with his cooperation, called “The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment,” which I hope to release toward the end of January.

This story starts about 3,000 years ago. You can read about it in 1 Kings. Solomon builds the Temple according to his father’s instructions. The Temple is dedicated to the Lord in a ceremony that lasts days. Then in chapter 9, the Lord appears to Solomon. And here’s what He says in 1 Kings 9:3-9: “I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou has made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou has built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

“And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

“Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

“But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

“Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

“And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?

“And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.”

Here we see what we so often see in the Bible – promise of a blessing for obedience and a curse of turning away from the Lord.

And we all know the outcome, so I’m not giving anything away here. Long before the death of Solomon, the children of Israel began to turn away from the commandments and serve and worship other gods. Even Solomon himself turns to this kind of spiritual adultery – leading to the divided kingdom in one generation.

But the dividing of the kingdom was yet just a warning, a harbinger, a limited judgment. God was shaking His people trying to get their attention and return them to the covenant.

He sent them prophets like Isaiah to rebuke them and correct them. But still they would not listen. They put their faith not in God, but in various military alliances and their own resourcefulness – both in Israel and in Judah. As you might remember from your Bible studies, the northern kingdom of Israel even allied itself with Syria against the southern kingdom of Judah.

As we learn in Chapter 9 in Isaiah, God used one of the severest of enemies of both Judah and Israel, the Assyrians, to strike the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali in the northern kingdom. This was another one of those limited judgments the Lord was using to turn the people away from their sin.

Did it work?

We get the answer beginning in Isaiah 9:8 – and all the way through the end of chapter 9. You should take the time to read all that carefully later. But, for now, I want to focus just on the key to understanding this message today: Isaiah 9:8-12: “The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.

“And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,

“The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.

“Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin (king of Syria) against him, and join his enemies together;

“The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.”

The key verse of this presentation is the highlighted one you see – Isaiah 9:10. “The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.” What’s happening here is that God has judged the nation, but the people are defiant – and expressing their defiance. Instead of turning to God in repentance after this attack from the Syrians, they are proudly and arrogantly expressing their faith in THEMSELVES. God, you may have knocked down our bricks, but we’ll just rebuild with hewn stone (like the kind that were used to build the Temple). You might have knocked down our little sycamore trees, but we will replant bigger cedars in their place.

This proud spirit of defiance leads to God removing His hedge of protection over the nation and more judgments – all still simply intended to bring the people around to repentance and obedience and covenant. As you see at the end of verse 12, God still has his hand out to the people: “For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.”

But we all know what eventually follows for His people and the two nations. First the northern kingdom is swept away by invaders. And later, the southern kingdom is carried off into captivity for 70 years.

But what does this have to do with the United States of America – particularly what we experienced on 9/11 and thereafter?

It’s really an amazing story.

But first, let’s begin with a little forgotten American history, because the parallels between the foundation of this country and the foundation of Israel are quite striking.

April 30, 1789, is a profound date in American history with similarities to Solomon’s dedication of the Temple. It actually represents the real birth of the United States of America. Some of you are probably scratching your heads and wondering why this date is unfamiliar to you. You are probably thinking the country was born on July 4, 1776, with the Declaration of Independence. But that was merely the date our independence was declared. We weren’t really a functioning country at that point. There were years of war that followed. And it wasn’t until April 30, 1789, that George Washington, our first president, gave his inaugural address, following the ratification of our Constitution, and we had a functioning federal government for the first time.

You might want to read Washington’s proclamations that day, because they hold a striking resemblance to what Solomon said at the dedication of the Temple – that God would bless the nation if it remained obedient, but He would judge the nation if it did not.

The location of that speech is also of note. It took place at America’s first capital city – New York. Immediately following the inauguration at Federal Hall, George Washington led the Senate and the House of Representatives in a procession through the streets of the nation’s capital to the place appointed for prayer at St. Paul’s Chapel a few blocks away.

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn suggest judgment came to America on Sept. 11, 2001, at the precise location of the nation’s spiritual dedication – just as it came to Solomon’s Temple, the location of the nation’s spiritual dedication.

The foundation of Federal Hall was actually cracked by the explosions of 9/11. St. Paul’s Chapel became known as the “miracle church” that survived the attack.

I think very few people associate the 9/11 attack and the destruction of the Twin Towers with the location of America’s spiritual dedication. But there’s much more to the parallels with ancient Israel.

The day after the attack, Sept. 12, 2001, Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle was chosen to speak to the nation from the Capitol. You probably don’t remember this speech. I sure didn’t. But this is the key speech that brings the Isaiah 9:10 effect into the 9/11 attack. Because, just like the leaders of Judah and Israel back in Isaiah’s time, it begins to show us that we missed the message God was sending when he sent our enemies to attack us. This is a speech you have to see, not just read:

I want you to notice that Daschle has no idea what he is doing here. He is embracing the spiritually defiant and arrogant words of the children of Israel, the leaders of that nation, and uttering them as words of comfort. He doesn’t realize the context of the message – these are words that invite more judgment. It’s worth noting that Daschle, one of the most powerful men in the nation when he spoke those words, later fell into disgrace – to the point where he couldn’t even serve in Barack Obama’s Cabinet. I mean, that’s disgrace. Obama’s Cabinet is like a rogue’s gallery. But Daschle’s nomination had to be withdrawn.

Was that the end of the Isaiah 9:10 connection to the events of 9/11? Not by a long shot. It was merely the beginning. On the third anniversary of Sept. 11, in 2004, another powerful U.S. senator, then running for vice president, gave a speech to the Congressional Black Caucus. What did he say?

Like Daschle, Edwards thinks he’s invoking inspirational and comforting words from the Bible, but he’s actually inviting judgment on America. He’s repeating the words that angered God to the point where he decided to turn up the heat on Israel.

And Daschle and Edwards were hardly alone among U.S. leaders. It started the day after 9/11 and continues right through today. I urge you to read Jonathan Cahn’s “The Harbinger” to see the other amazing parallels between the history of behind Isaiah 9:10 and America’s 9/11.

Specifically, you will learn about the sycamores felled in the 9/11 attack and the way they were replaced by cedars. You will learn that after the bricks fell, hewn stones were brought to the site in ceremonies of rededication to build stronger and bigger and better.

You will also learn about the continuing judgments directly tied to 9/11 – a series of economic judgments that began as a direct result six days after the attacks and continue to plague America today.

My hope is that I have at least whet your appetite for more – the book by Jonathan Cahn available now and the documentary I am producing for the weeks ahead.

What I have learned in a few short months since I began studying the Isaiah 9:10 effect has changed my entire perception of 9/11 and the future of America. It has been a wake-up call that I believe the entire nation needs to hear. I hope and pray you will help me spread the word.

From a retired veteran friend

A father watched his young daughter playing in the garden. He smiled as he reflected on how sweet and pure his little girl was. Tears formed in his eyes as he thought about her seeing the wonders of nature through such innocent eyes. Suddenly she just stopped and stared at the ground. He went over to her to see what work of God had captured her attention.

He noticed she was looking at two spiders mating. ‘Daddy, what are those two spiders doing?’ she asked. ‘They’re mating,’ her father replied. ‘What do you call the spider on top?’ she asked. A Daddy Longlegs,’ her father answered. ‘So, the other one is a Mommy Longlegs?’ the little girl asked. As his heart soared with the joy of such a cute and innocent question he replied, ‘No dear. Both of them are Daddy Longlegs.’ ‘The little girl, looking a little puzzled, thought for a moment, then lifted her foot and stomped them flat. ‘Well”, she said, “that may be OK in California , but we’re not having any of that crap in Florida !”

ACLJ: Defend Israel

ACLJ - American Center for Law and Justice                               Take Action Contribute

Like this on Facebook.

As we near the end of 2011 it is important to remember that this year saw an unparalleled assault on the Israeli people.

Stand with the ACLJ

A dramatic increase of rockets fired at Israeli civilians, the formation of a terrorist-led Palestinian government, President Obama’s demand that Israel return to indefensible borders, and a failed attempt to violate international law at the United Nations (U.N.).

The terrorist-led Palestinians don’t want peace with Israel; they want to wipe the Israeli people off the map. With our offices in Washington, D.C., at the U.N. in New York, and in Jerusalem the ACLJ is actively working in the defense of Israel every day.

Join the ACLJ in defending Israel and the Israeli people from this terrorist threat.

We are days away from the deadline for our critical year-end Matching Challenge, but we are only halfway to our $1,000,000 goal. Every tax-deductible gift you make online today will be matched, but we must meet our goal to take full advantage of this opportunity.

Your generosity is key to providing the resources we need to continue fighting for faith, freedom, the lives of unborn babies, religious liberty, Israel, and so many other critical challenges we face everyday.

The Prime Minister of Hamas – the terrorist group leading the Palestinian Authority – made their intent clear: “Armed resistance and armed struggle are the strategic way to liberate the Palestinian land from the sea to the river.”

The ACLJ is firmly committed to defending the Israeli people:

  • The ACLJ is working with Members of Congress urging the end to taxpayer funding for the terrorist-led Palestinian Authority.
  • When President Obama demanded that Israel give up its land and return to the indefensible pre-1967 borders, our senior attorneys immediately took action to work with Members of Congress, the U.N., and Israeli officials to ensure that America remained supportive of Israel.
  • We exposed the Palestinian Authority’s attempt to use lawfare – the use of the legal system against an enemy in war – to subject Israeli citizens to prosecution for war crimes they did not commit.
  • I have presented arguments at the International Criminal Court to defend Israel against false criminal claims.
  • Our attorneys discredited the flawed Goldstone Report that accussed Israel of war crimes, and the report’s author retracted its false claims this year.
  • When the terrorist-led Palestinian Authority attempted an unprecedented attempt to circumvent international law and the Middle East peace process by seeking official recognition of statehood at the United Nations, we sent legal analysis letters to the U.N., delivered petitions from hundreds of thousands of our members, and worked with Members of Congress to protect Israel.

The Plot Thickens

The Plot Thickens

An intensive investigation has revealed the identity of the man whose Social Security number (SSN) is being used by President Obama: Jean Paul Ludwig, who was born in France in 1890, immigrated  to the United States in 1924, and was assigned SSN 042-68-4425 (Obama’s current SSN) on or about March 1977.

Ludwig lived most of his adult life in Connecticut.  Because of that, his SSN begins with  the digits 042, which are among only a select few reserved for Connecticut residents

Obama never lived or worked in that state! Therefore, there is no reason on earth for his SSN to start with the digits 042. None whatsoever!

Now comes the best part! Ludwig spent the final months of his life in Hawaii, where he died.

Conveniently, Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, worked part-time in the Probate Office in the Honolulu Hawaii Courthouse, and therefore had access to the SSNs of deceased individuals.

The Social Security Administration was never informed of Ludwig’s death, and because he never received Social Security benefits there were no benefits to stop and therefore, no questions were ever raised.

The suspicion, of course, is that Dunham, knowing her grandson was not a U.S. Citizen; either because he was born  in Kenya, or became a citizen of Indonesia upon his adoption by Lolo Soetoro, simply scoured the probate records  until she found someone who died, who was not receiving Social Security benefits, and selected Mr Ludwigs  Connecticut SSN for Obama.

Just wait until Trump gets past the birth certificate and onto the issue of Barry O’s use of a stolen SSN. You will see  leftist heads exploding, because they will have no way of defending Obama.

Although many Americans do not understand the meaning of the term “natural born” there are few who do not understand  that if you are using someone else’s SSN it is a clear indication of fraud.

Let’s all get this information out to everybody on our mailing lists. If the voters of this great nation can succeed in bringing this lying, deceitful, cheating, corrupt, impostor to justice it will be the biggest and best news in decades for our country and the world.

Long ago I upset people by being so appalled at similar behavior, that I commented “435 reasons for a sniper rifle”.    I know I can’t take the law in my own hands;  however, treason is treason.  In time of war, being convicted of treason calls for a firing squad.  “X’

Today I went searching for a specific piece of legislation. It is a bill currently in committee in the House of Representatives. Imagine my dismay when I discovered that it includes a clause which says that the 11th amendment does not apply to any lawsuits initiated by people complaining of infractions of the legislation.

Forgive me for my apparent stupidity, but how can Congress enact such legislation? If such a clause is included in this bill, how many others have the same clause? Why are we not aware that Congress is so blatantly pushing the Constitution aside?

For a long time I have known that Congress avoids the Constitution when it feels the need. Every entitlement program in existence would disappear in a flash if the Constitution prevailed. But I was not aware that any of the bills that created these programs included a clause which said, in essence, the Constitution is suspended with regard to this bill. I always thought they were simply finessing the programs and that they succeeded simply because nobody has yet mounted a successful attack on their Constitutionality.

This, situation, however, is different. This bill states in plain language that even a legislative dummy like me can understand. This bill says that 11th amendment may not be used as a defense in lawsuits subsequent to this legislation.

In case you don’t have the amendments memorized, the 11th amendment is about states’ rights. It enshrines the sovereignty of states with regard to the powers not delegated to the federal government by the Constitution. The 11th amendment says:

“The judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by citizens of another state, or by citizens or subjects of any foreign state.”

By inserting a clause that says this amendment does not apply, the Congress says that the citizen from state A who objects to action in state B and sues on the basis of this law may sue state B without regard to the fact that the Constitution disallows such suits. Nothing in the Constitution forbids a citizen in state A from suing his own state for some infraction, but it does not permit him to cross state lines to lodge such a suit. Congress appears to have appropriated to itself some power we did not grant it in the Constitution, because it appears to believe that it can deny Constitutional rights to a state.

Notice that I have not commented on the central subject of the legislation. That is not the issue I am concerned about in this post. I am concerned about anything that dilutes the power of the Constitution to shape our government. We have a Constitution precisely because the federal government needs boundaries. Without limits applied to it, the federal government will overrun the states and reduce them to mere administrative units for federal power. It is appalling to see that this statement has been boldly inserted into a piece of legislation and nobody is worrying about it.

I am not sure how I find out if this clause is in any other bills or in existing laws. If it is, then I am really worried.

When our president stated recently that this form of government does not work and never has worked, I was appalled. I knew he believed it, but I thought he was still trying to fool us into believing something better of him. In the legislative clause which asserts that Congress can disallow a right which the Constitution grants to states, I see that our president is not alone in his belief that the Constitution is not a good thing, because it interferes with federal power. This is scary.

Just yesterday I listened to an interview with Stuart Varney. He said something very important. He said that when he came to the USA forty years ago, he was fleeing socialism. He is very disturbed to see that it is now arising in the US, the place he thought would be a haven from its onslaught. I feel the same way. I grew up knowing that we needed to defend ourselves from the USSR because we did not want to be engulfed by socialism. Now I feel that it is engulfing me, anyway.

What can a single outraged citizen do about this problem?

Following in the footsteps of a tradition as favored as a certain popular poem, Delegate Scott Lingamfelter reminds us once again of the consequences of failing to elect the best people we can.

T’was the Night of Our Gridlock

T’was the night before Christmas and all through DC;
The President and Congress just couldn’t agree;
Once again they are arguing about how to spend bucks;
Leaving no doubt among us that they’re all just nuts

“Extend unemployment!”, Obama demands;
“Pay for it first” is the House’s firm stand;
“More debt’s the way” says Reid in a fit;
“And a two month extension is all that you get”

“But the President wants a full year” says the House
“We all agree so let’s vote this bill out”;
“Well on second thought” Mr. Reid said with glee
“A two month deal is best politically?”

“If we go with a year, we’d end this big mess;
No more to argue, is that really best?
Then how can Obama beat up on your guys;
At the State of the Union when that time arrives?”

Says ol Dirty Harry, “It’s all about power;
If we lose the Senate, the libs will be sour”
Says the House with disgust, “make it a year!”
Give all the people a reason to cheer!”

“Prove to them now that you’re not a big jerk
Delay your vacation, let’s get down to work!”
“Delay our vacation?”, Reid says with surprise
“We’d rather the House be blamed and despised”

“Sure, a year would be best for all in the land;
But not for Obama, with whom we all stand”;
“If we yield to you”, say Reid with a sneer;
Barack’s State of the Union will fall on deaf ears”

“That just will not do with Elections at stake;
To heck with the people, two months you will take!”
So that’s where we stand, in good ol’ DC;
Watching our leaders be all they can be”

Which leaves me to wonder as I look to the sky;
“Hasten November” when I say good-bye
To Obama and Reid, who lead from behind;
While hard working families are left in a bind

Elections do matter, of that I am sure;
And if Obama returns, even more will be poor;
It’s time for real change, and don’t be in doubt;
That change will arrive when we vote this guy out!”

From PAN Member Laurence Clelend:

Liberal’s 2012 Win-Win-Win Strategies

We often arrive at our decisions about political policies and leaders based on rhetoric provided by politicians and the media because we are too busy to do the required homework. Later as the truth unfolds we regret our decisions. While the 2012 conservative republican’s strategies are still evolving, the liberal democrat’s and Obama’s win-win-win strategies have been clear for many months. We must be aware of three liberal democrat “win” strategies when we make our decisions.

  1. The want to hear strategy: tell citizens what they want to hear. We always like hearing what we want to happen. President Obama started this process in his state-of-the-union speech when he proposed new initiatives for innovation, education, infrastructure, and anything that would add jobs. This is what we all want to happen if we could afford it. This “win” relies upon the belief that citizen’s “wants list” will trump citizen’s “concerns list” about costs and future impacts.
  2. The divide-concur strategy: use divisive tricks to separate our nation into financial, race, age, etc. biased groups. The chant “tax the rich” is one of many examples where the facts divulge the deceit. These taxes would add income of about $70 billion per year. This is only 0.47 % of the 2011 debt and only 4.7 % of the deficit — not a significant amount. In fact, if all spending reductions and tax increases proposals suggested by both political parties were implemented, they do not close the debt or deficit gaps! This divisive “win” strategy pits citizen against citizen at a time when our nation needs to be united.
  3. The sidelinesnipe strategy: set on the sideline and snipe at any and all (painful) proposals that might help fix the problemsmaking those offering the proposals the “bad guys.” Examples of this strategy abound:
    • The liberal (democrat) Senate has not offered a budget proposal in two years.
    • Raising taxes now and (possibly) cutting spending later is a ruse — not a solution — to be able to blame the conservatives for protecting “fat cats”.
    • President Obama
      • Ignored proposals of his Debt Reduction Committee.
      • Spent no time working with the joint deficit “Super Committee.”
      • Spent little time working with Congressional leaders on critical problems.
      • Used every one of his almost daily free public engagements to blame republicans’, or anyone or any thing else for our problems.

These three strategies are very powerful. Voters not having time to research facts or decipher political rhetoric will tend to focus on current short-term concerns and their pocketbooks. The liberal strategies depend upon false or deceptive, scare, and seduction tactics to achieve short-term self-serving election objectives. If we citizens simply “by into” these strategies without considering the long-term consequences we will likely again fall into the trap that results in future regret. Conservatives may win solely on the basis of our poor economy but if they want to assure success they will need to start counteracting these strategies.
