Obama Must Defend Israel, Not “Caution” Our Most Important Ally

Israel is facing grave danger from Iran, which is expected to have nuclear weapons within a year.

The big question: Where does President Obama stand? Will he back Israel and defend our most important ally, if necessary?

Don’t seem to be getting that feeling from the White House. The Washington Post reports: “President Obama and Panetta are said to have cautioned the Israelis that the United States opposes an attack, believing that it would derail an increasingly successful international economic sanctions program and other non-military efforts to stop Iran from crossing the threshold.”

The President “cautioning” Israel? He should be warning Iran, not Israel. Why is he urging Israel to stand-down? And, where’s our pledge of support to Israel? Our promise to defend them if necessary?

No, that’s not happening. Instead, Defense Secretary Panetta told reporters that “we have expressed our concerns” to Israel about a potential military strike against Iran.

Let’s put this into the proper perspective. Israel – under siege – in the crosshairs. Consider this new threat issued today by Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He says Iran “will support and help any nations, any groups” in fighting Israel. He added: “The Zionist regime is a true cancer tumor on this region. . . .and it definitely will be cut off.”

Israel has no shortage of enemies and Iran is said to be cozying up to anti-Israel groups around the globe. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak understands the danger. He says military action might be necessary if sanctions don’t work.

This from Barak:

“Today, unlike the past, there is no question of the unbearable danger a nuclear Iran poses for the future of the Middle East, for the security of Israel and for the security and financial stability of the entire world.

Today, unlike the past, the world has no doubt that the military nuclear program is steadily nearing ripeness and is about to enter the ‘immunity zone.’ From that point on, the Iranian regime will be able to act to complete the program, with no effective disturbance and a time that is convenient for it.

He who says ‘later,’ may find that it is ‘too late.’”

It’s been nearly 60 years since an American President turned their back on Israel. The last time that happened was in 1956 when President Eisenhower condemned an Israeli-European attack on the Suez Canal. We cannot turn our back on Israel again.

Contrary to conventional stupidity, Islam should NOT be protected under the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. Is there anyone left in the three branches of government today that can interpret our most sacred document (the Declaration of Independence not withstanding) correctly?

Like in Christendom, where the exegesis and hermeneutics of certain passages of scripture are often skewed to conform to a particular ideology, agenda, or belief system, so too has the clear and concise language of the Constitution and the 27 Amendments progressively undergone exegetical attacks over the decades—depending on which party is in power—to conform to a particular political ideology.

But this is one hermeneutical battle America can ill afford to lose. Our founding principles, i.e. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness hang in the balance. In short—our country’s very survival depends on it.

America faces a grave threat from Islam. Muslims are infiltrating our country in droves and they’re doing it under the guise of “Constitutional Protection.” And like England, if we don’t stand our ground now, it will be too late. Muslims are cunning, crafty and clever. They’re using our ignorance of the understanding of our own Constitution against us, and they are clandestinely and methodically spreading their freedom-snatching tentacles in a quiet and unassuming manner.

Federal, state, and local governments on the other hand won’t acknowledge the imminent threat. They incorrectly claim that Muslims have “Constitutional Rights” to come here, proselytize people, build mosques, and implement Shariah Law in their communities and in the public square. They’re dead wrong! And by and large, Islam is getting away with it just like they have in Europe. Only unlike in Europe and Great Britain in particular, where many local non-Muslim citizens now live in perpetual fear and oppression, it’s not too late to stem the tide, but we have to act now. Time is not on our side. In fact, this may come as a shock, but there are more mosques being built on American soil than Christian churches. We are already well under way to being Islamized.

To understand Islam is to understand Sharia. The religion of Islam is nothing short of a totalitarian political, economic, military, social and legal system that’s camouflaged in religious garb. Their mandate (not objective) is to incorporate our country into a global Islamic caliphate.

Sadly, they are making serious inroads towards their tyrannical mandate because America is asleep at the wheel. We are all that stands between freedom and a worldwide Islamic caliphate. The United States of America is the world’s last bastion of hope.

Yet, the dreadful message we get from ignorant and incompetent lawmakers is that our Constitution renders us powerless to do anything about it. On the contrary, the Constitution and Declaration of Independence—properly interpreted—actually give our federal, state and local governments justification and authority to stop Islam dead in its tracks!

Here’s How . . .

Islam is NOT a religion. Islam—which stands for “submission” or “surrender”—is a totalitarian form of government that seeks COMPLETE DOMINANCE. It is hellbent on controlling every aspect of the lives of its adherents—a primitive life at that. It masquerades as a monotheistic religion rooted in Old Testament principles, but more appropriately follows the murderous thuggery of it’s founder, Muhammad, a descendent of Ishmael, born 600 years after Christ. Only their modern day tactics now include recruiting mentally ill teenagers and naive and gullible idiots who falsely believe they will be rewarded with 75 virgins if they become suicide bombers. And Western countries indoctrinated with the lies of multiculturalism and political correctness—to their demise—have reluctantly turned a blind eye. But like Communism, Marxism and Socialism, the Constitution of the United States of America empowers us to defeat it.

As lawyer, philosopher and Constitutional constructionist, Publius Huldah, succinctly points out in her paper, “God’s Gift of Unalienable Rights & Article VI of the Constitution: The Sword & Shield to Stop the Islamization of America, “We must understand Our Founding Principles – these are our Sword & Shield – that (1) Rights come from God alone, (2) Muslims do not have the right to divest us of our Rights, and (3) the purpose of civil government is to secure the Rights God gave us.”

What are our Rights, and where do they come from? The Constitution? The Bill of Rights? No! The Declaration of Independence says:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. —that to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men . . .”

So, where do our Rights come from? God. And what are those Rights? Life , Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Inscribed on the Liberty Bell is Leviticus 25:10 - “Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.”

Do Muslims respect the Rights God gave us? Of course not! Sharia stands in stark contrast to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Here’s why . . .

1. Life: Islam is a culture of oppression and death, e.g., primitive and oppressive regulations for women, murder and honor killings. The Koran instructs its adherents under no uncertain terms to torture and kill non-believers as set out in Sura 4:56, 4:89, and 9:5 for example.

2. Liberty: Islam is a culture of slavery and submission. Women are forced to cover their faces and frequently raped with no recourse. Children are often molested, and defection and conversion to another belief system often ends in brutal death.

3. Pursuit of Happiness: Does living in fear for a lot of Muslim women sound like the pursuit of happiness? Or being told when to pray, how to pray, and how many times to pray per day? For many Muslims, Islam is a culture of torture and sadism. How many times have we already heard of young Muslim girls in America who, after dating non-Muslim boys, were shot to death or run over by their father for allegedly bringing shame to their family? Public wife beating is commonplace. Women who don’t cover their hair are beaten on the spot. They’re often gang raped (needing multiple witnesses to testify against their male aggressors), mutilated, and left with maimed faces.

4. Freedom of Speech: Try criticizing Islam in Saudi Arabia—one of our Arab allies. See how swiftly justice is met with your head as the ornament of of an Opec member’s Mercedes.

For every Right God gave us—not the Constitution or its Amendments—the Muslims seek to eradicate.

Lawmakers tell us Muslims have a First Amendment “Right” to build mosques, proselytize, and implement Sharia here. But that’s not what the First Amendment says.

It says . . .

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Now consider the verbiage very carefully. A lot of lawmakers and most Americans make the exegetical error that the First Amendment grants us rights. The First Amendment doesn’t grant any rights to anybody. All it does is prohibit Congress from making laws about religion, speech, the press, or assembly.

Therefore, Muslims do not have a First Amendment “Right” to build mosques, proselytize, and implement Sharia in our country.

As Publius Huldah correctly points out, “Not only do Muslims claim the “right” to impose Shariah in the Muslim communities springing up throughout our Country, they also claim the “right” to impose Sharia law in the public square: They demand Sharia compliant financial institutions, foot baths in public places, that wine, sausages, and the like be banned from their presence, that they be allowed to shut down public streets for “prayers”, etc.”

So it begs the question: Do Americans have any Constitutional protection against the invasion of a foreign law being foisted upon us? Absolutely!

Article VI, Clause 2 of our Constitution states . . .

“This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the Supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any state to the contrary notwithstanding.”

Did you get that? Our Constitution and Laws are authorized by the Supreme Law of this Land.

The practice of Sharia in the United States, at any level directly violates our Constitution. Muslims who therefore seek to overthrow our Constitution or otherwise usurp or circumvent it with Sharia law are guilty of Criminal Sedition. The federal government has the duty to prosecute them for sedition, or otherwise repatriate or deport them.

However, as evidenced in a ruling by a New Jersey judge last year which was later overturned by the New Jersey Appellate Court, and more recently a Tampa judge thanks to the growing influence of CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations)—a pro-Sharia lobbyist—the very opposite is happening.

In November, 2010, an overwhelming majority of Oklahomans voted to amend their State Constitution to ban Sharia law and international law from the state’s courtrooms. But a federal judge overturned the will of the people within weeks, claiming that such an exclusion of Sharia law interfered with the religious liberties of Muslims. Now, legislators in Wyoming, Missouri, Alabama, Florida and Texas are considering adopting a similar Constitutional Amendment to that of Oklahoma’s.

Brigitte Gabriel, founder of Act! for America, an advocacy group established “to promote America’s national security and the defense of American democratic values against the assault of radical Islam,” emphasizes that voters must establish that the U.S. Constitution is the controlling law of the land. “We are trying to warn Americans to look at what’s happening in Europe. If Europe is any preview, we need to make sure we put up the barriers right now,” she stresses.

The Declaration of Independence says the purpose of civil government is to secure the Rights God gave us. Islam seeks to take away our God-given Rights. Civil government is supposed to protect us from enemies, foreign and domestic, who seek to divest us of our Rights. Therefore it’s incumbent on every American citizen to insist that our federal, state, and local governments immediately STOP the Islamization of OUR COUNTRY—starting with an immediate cease and desist on the construction of all mosques! The purpose of our civil government is to protect our GOD-given Rights, not circumvent them in favor of an Islamic caliphate.

Contrary to revisionist historians and secular progressive’s claims, the United States of America was founded on Christian principles. Jesus Christ is recognized not only as the Supreme Being of The Declaration of Independence, but also as the God of Article VII of our Constitution. . .

“Done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Seven . . . “

In Summary:

1. Our Rights come from God. They predate and preexist the Constitution. Our Constitution doesn’t give “Rights” to anybody. So Muslims don’t have “Constitutional Rights” to come to our Christian established country and build mosques, proselytize, and impose Shariah.

2. Islam and Sharia seeks to take away from people the rights God gave them. Since our Declaration of Independence acknowledges that the purpose of civil governments is to secure our God-given Rights, it is the duty and responsibility of civil governments at all levels to protect us from Islamization.

3. Article VI, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution—the “Supremacy Clause”—is the silver bullet that makes it unconstitutional for Muslims to practice Sharia Law anywhere in our Country.

To speak against First Amendment protection of an Islamic theocracy that is antithetical to the underlying principles of the US Constitution—Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness—does not make one a prejudiced bigot or racist. Most Muslims, like Christians, are moderate law abiding citizens. However, the percentage who follow the literal commands of the Koran (the militant and radical muslims) and because of the 2 to 1 worldwide population growth of Muslims, the jihadist terrorists are multiplying at an alarming rate.

Let me be perfectly clear. Traditional Islam is not a friend of America. It is our enemy. The very notion of “Chrislam”—a syncretistic fusion of Christianity and Islam—being promoted by such notable Christian celebrities as Rick Warren, author of the best selling book, The Purpose Driven Life, is an abomination. It’s anti-American, and antithetical to the Christian principles upon which our great nation was founded. It is imperative that you understand the inherent danger of multiculturalism, and the amalgamation of polarizing religions. It eventually leads to civil unrest and anarchy.

Most, but not all of our State Senators and Congressmen are completely oblivious to the imminent threat that Islam and Sharia pose to the sovereignty of our nation. It’s imperative that they get informed very quickly and embrace the fight to stop the spread of mosques and Sharia at the local level. The Center for Security Policy issued a report last year entitled: “Shariah: The Threat to America”. Demand that your local and state reps read it and take immediate action to defend your community from Islamization. A few proactive notables who do recognize it are representatives Rex Duncan, Don Wells, and Larry Metz of Oklahoma, Missouri, and Florida, respectively.

Since that time, he was nearly murdered and has multiple death threats against him, his wife and children for having the guts to exercise his God-given unalienable Rights.

Europe, in the interest of multiculturalism and political correctness, made a grave error. And now they are hopeless to reverse it, especially in England, without a civil and very bloody religious war. An entire country, even with it’s parliamentary government in tact, is now at the mercy of Muhammad and his warriors of death or submission.

Recently exonerated Dutch Member of Parliament, Geert Wilders, listed ten steps Western countries must take to stop the Islamization of their countries.

In closing, we are at war with a very evil and cunning enemy. An enemy that seeks to destroy everything that is good about the United States of America; Everything we value; Everything we cherish, Everything our forefathers and successive generations fought and died for so that we could receive the torch of freedom and pass it on to our children and grandchildren. This is our moment. It is our time to boldly stand up for our God, our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, and our beloved Freedom! Let us exercise our God-given unalienable Rights and say “Yes to Freedom!” and “No to Oppression!” We owe it to our children, our grandchildren, and our grandparents.

Why Newt Gingrich Is Right on Palestine

What do Golda Meir, lifelong socialist and prime minister of Israel, and Newt Gingrich, lifelong conservative and current presidential candidate, have in common? The courage to tell the truth about ”Palestine.”

Gingrich stirred up a hornet’s nest last week when he remarked that “The Palestinians are an invented people.” Golda made the same point when she told the London Sunday Times on June 15, 1969 that “There is no such thing as a Palestinian people.”

What could have possessed the Prime Minister of Israel and the former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives to say such a thing?

Simple: an appreciation of history. Gingrich has a Ph.D. in the subject. Golda lived it.

Golda left her home in Milwaukee in 1921 and moved to a country that had been known since biblical times as the Land of Israel. The Roman occupation forces, in 135 CE, had begun calling it “Palaestina” in the hope of snuffing out its Jewish connection. But that was never more than the equivalent of a nickname. Nobody ever created a state called “Palestine.” Even the Muslims, who conquered the region 500 years later, never considered it “Palestine.” They called it southern Syria.

The idea that there was a native “Palestinian” people in the land when Golda and other Jewish pioneers arrived in the early 1900s was laughable. The country wasn’t empty, but to say that the local Arab population was sparse is putting it mildly. Mark Twain and other visitors in the late 1800s described traveling for miles and miles through the center of the country without seeing a single person. In 1850, the area’s largest city, Jerusalem, had a population of 25,000, the majority of whom were Jews. The Arabs who lived in Palestine did not speak “Palestinian”; they spoke Arabic. Their religion, culture, and history were not “Palestinian”; they were identical to that of the surrounding Arab countries–because that’s where many of them came from.

Perhaps Newt has been reading Golda’s autobiography. “The Arab population of Palestine had doubled since the start of Jewish settlements there,” she wrote of the 1920s, when Jewish development was creating a thriving local economy. “[A]ttracted by the new opportunities, hordes of Arabs were emigrating to Palestine from Syria and other neighboring countries all through those years.” (p.149)

An Israeli magazine recently profiled a Jerusalem Arab chef, Sufian Mustafa, who is bent on demonstrating that there is a uniquely “Palestinian” cuisine. But after much blustering about his ”exclusively Palestinian” creations (“real Palestinians would never cook with such a bland ingredient as cream,” he insisted) Mustafa grudgingly acknowledged that “the Palestinian kitchen is definitely a continuation of the Greater Syrian kitchen, and bears a lot of resemblance to Lebanese, Syrian, and Jordanian cuisine.” I wonder why!

In the parlance of the 1920s-1930s-1940s, the term “Palestine” referred to the Jews, not the Arabs. The Jerusalem Post newspaper was named the Palestine Post. The United Jewish Appeal was called the United Palestine Appeal. Arab spokesmen vehemently denied that Palestine deserved to be a separate country. Philip Hitti, historian and spokesman for the Arab cause, testified to the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry (a U.S.-British commission trying to resolve the Arab-Jewish conflict) in 1946: “Sir, there is no such thing as Palestine in history, absolutely not.”

After Israel’s establishment (1948), the Arabs and their supporters began casting about for new lines of argument. In the mid-1960s one finds the first appearance of claims by Arab advocates that there was a separate, distinct “Palestinian” people with deep roots in the land. (The UN first used the term in 1970.) How can this claim be established? Simple: by inventing–yes, inventing–a history that predates the arrival of the Jews. According to Palestinian Authority spokesmen and school textbooks, the Palestinian Arabs are descendants of the Canaanites, Jebusites, Hittites and other pre-Israel tribes.

True to form, Palestinian spokesman Nabil Adu Rodeineh was all over the news yesterday, denouncing Newt Gingrich on the grounds that “the Palestinians have been in the country for thousands of years.”

Archaeologists and historians know very well that the tribes of ancient Canaan died out many centuries before Muhammad and the Muslims (precursors of today’s Palestinian Arabs) arrived in the area. There is no connection between the Canaanites and the Arabs. But when was the last time an archaeologist or historian was given time on a national television broadcast to explain that Palestinian nationalism is an invention? The answer is never–until Newt Gingrich, the first presidential candidate since Woodrow Wilson with a Ph.D. in history, came along.

Well a unique source is that of the Australian/British Armies from World War I. They encountered some arabs, a lot of nomadic bedu, and Jewish villages. They experienced exceptionally good support from the Jewish villages, had a very difficult relationship with the Bedu (feeling that the majority were in the pay of the Turks) and nothing but bad blood, theft and murder from the Arabs (culminating in the Surafend Affair – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surafend_affair) after the murder of a New Zealand Sergeant by an arab after the end of the war.

There is no mention of some separate “Palestine” identity or “Palestinian” people in any of the literature from that period, it is merely seen as an outpost of the Turkish Empire, peopled by Jews, Bedu and Syrian/Levantine (Lebanese) Arabs. It is quite interesting just how prominent the Jewish villages are and how regularly they are mentioned. It is conceivably, based upon this first-hand evidence, possible to argue that if there was a distinctly “Palestinian” character from that period (discounting the Bedu who were given Jordan), then there is an even money chance they were Jewish.

Aside from that, and what our arab brethren would prefer to forget, is that the arabs chose to support the Turkish Empire (to the extent the shiftless sods supported anyone) in the Great War. That is the fundamental underpinning of the Balfour documents, in return for their support of the British, the Bedu received Transjordan and the Jews, for their support, would receive the rest. It is all very well to suggest that is ancient history and of no account, but the world is built on such things. What arabs there were in “Palestine” at that time, were ignored because they had chosen to back the wrong horse in the war to end all wars. As such they were ignored and what proprietary interests they may have held were nullified, as a result of that choice (they were far from the only people to lose more than they could afford in that period as a result of backing the wrong side). To suggest that they remained entitled to anything in the post war British mandate is to ignore the promises made by Balfour during the war and to withhold payment for support received (that this is precisely what happened up until the end of the mandate, does not overturn the original promise or the entitlement flowing therefrom – so let the British work out where to resettle the “Palestinian Arabs” they dispossessed).

But Newt Gingrich is by far the best Presidential Candidate that I can see at the present time. Articulate, educated, a fervent nationalist who is a strong supporter of Israel (it’s a long time since someone ticked all those boxes). He’s also had an extended period in a powerful office, if there were any major skeletons or strange habits (or if his immediate family did), they’d be out already (even longer since those ones were ticked as well), at least by a potential front-runner. His recent statements on Pakistan (a nascent danger to Israel, the only nuclear weapon equipped muslim state and one that is in the process of ostracising itself from the western world and is evidently going to play to the muslim ratbag crowd in the future) are insightful and show an apparent disregard of, independence of and contempt for, the strong pro-muslim, pro-Pakistan lobby. The world could do a LOT worse (leaving the incumbent in power for instance)

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Iranian capture of a high-tech, stealth U.S. drone shines a light on the American spying mission there, but probably does not tell Tehran much that it did not already know, a senior U.S. official said.

The RQ-170 Sentinel was providing surveillance over Iran and did not just accidentally wander away from the Afghanistan border region, as first suggested. The official said Wednesday that the Iranians will no doubt be able to tell where the aircraft flew. A bigger U.S. concern, the official said, was that the Iranians are likely to share or sell whatever they have recovered of the aircraft to the Chinese, Russians or others. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the mission.

Experts and officials acknowledge that there is no self-destruct mechanism on the Sentinels — which are used both by the military and the CIA for classified surveillance and intelligence gathering missions.

Iranian state radio reported Wednesday that the drone was deep inside Iran’s airspace, flying over an eastern town famous for Persian carpets and saffron when it was detected by Iranian forces over the eastern town of Kashmar, about 140 miles (225 kilometers) from the Afghan border. The radio report said the craft was downed by Iranian armed forces.

It did not speculate as to why the drone flew over that town.

The radio added that Iran will soon broadcast video footage of the downed drone.

U.S. officials said that while they have enough information to confirm that Iran does have the wreckage, they said they are not sure what the Iranians will be able to glean technologically from what they found. It is unlikely that Iran would be able to recover any surveillance data from the aircraft.

Iran first reported the downing on Sunday but did not say when the incident happened. At the time, the official IRNA news agency said Iran’s armed forces had shot it down — a claim later rejected by U.S. officials who said the drone crashed over the weekend but that there was no indication it had been shot down.

Still, U.S. officials said that the U.S. employs a range of capabilities to gather information about Iran, particularly its nuclear program. As a result, officials said this type of mission is probably no surprise to Tehran and therefore is not seen by the U.S. as a diplomatic tipping point.

Meanwhile, U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss classified information, have said the drone and other stealth craft like it have spied on Iran for years from a U.S. air base in Afghanistan, and other bases in the region.

According to these officials, the U.S. built up the air base in Shindand, Afghanistan, with an eye to keeping a long-term presence there to launch surveillance missions and even special operations missions into Iran if deemed necessary in the future. Such continued use would be predicated on a security arrangement with the government of Afghanistan, after U.S. troops draw down, the officials said.

At this point, while the U.S. has broad contingency plans to put a small special operations team into Iran if needed in the future, U.S. officials said they believe the president has not sanctioned any such action. Multiple officials said there is little appetite for putting U.S. troops in harm’s way inside Iran, such as the Navy lightning commando raid into Pakistan earlier this year to target Osama bin Laden.

The Sentinel drone has been used in Afghanistan for several years. It gained notoriety earlier this year when officials disclosed that one was used to keep watch bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan as the raid that killed him was taking place.

On Wednesday, Iran’s hardline Kayhan daily newspaper quoted an unnamed military expert as saying Iranian forces did not shoot down the drone. The expert, though, said the Iranian military is capable of bringing it down in such a way that the “body of the plane and its parts remain intact.”

Another conservative daily, Mellat, said Iran may transfer intelligence from the drone to regional allies Syria and Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah group.

Iran confirmed for the first time in 2005 that the U.S. has been flying surveillance drones over its airspace to spy on its nuclear and military facilities.

In January, Tehran said two pilotless spy planes shot down over its airspace were operated by the U.S., and in July, media said Iranian military officials showed Russian experts several U.S. drones reportedly shot down in recent years.

Faced with international sanctions over its controversial nuclear program, Iran has been trying to build up its own military technology.

It unveiled its first domestically built unmanned bomber in 2010, calling the aircraft an “ambassador of death” to Iran’s enemies. Two year earlier, Tehran announced it had built an unmanned aircraft with a range of more than 600 miles (1,000 kilometers), far enough to reach Israel.

Both Israel and the United States have not ruled out a military option against Iran’s nuclear facilities, which the West suspects aim to make atomic weapons — a charge Iran denies.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel’s defense minister warned on Tuesday of a possible Israeli military strike against Iran’s nuclear program and rejected suggestions the Jewish state would be devastated by an Iranian counterattack.

Ehud Barak spoke a day before the United Nations’ nuclear agency was expected to release a critical report on the Iranian program. The report is expected to implicate Iran in bomb building and erase doubts about the nature of the program, which Iran says is designed to produce energy, not weapons.

Barak told Israel Radio he didn’t expect the International Atomic Energy Agency report to persuade Russia and China to impose what he called “lethal” sanctions on Iran to pressure Tehran to dismantle its nuclear installations.

“As long as no such sanctions have been imposed and proven effective, we continue to recommend to our friends in the world and to ourselves, not to take any option off the table,” he said. He stressed that no decision to attack has been made.

The “all options on the table” phrase is often used by Israeli politicians to mean a military assault.

The U.N. has imposed four rounds of sanctions on Tehran, but none has succeeded in curbing Iran’s nuclear ambitions. On Tuesday, Barak suggested adding a naval blockade that would cut off Iran’s economic lifeline, oil.

Israel views Iran as its greatest threat because of its nuclear program, its missiles, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s repeated references to the destruction of the Jewish state and Iran’s support for Palestinian and Lebanese militant groups.

Israeli leaders have sent out signals recently that military action is on the agenda. An official told The Associated Press last week that the Israeli Cabinet has discussed the matter, with Barak and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in favor of taking action. An Israeli missile test last week, combined with an announcement of a special air force drill in Italy, further raised speculation.

With the IAEA report approaching, it is unclear whether the leaks are true threats or merely a pressure tactic to push the international community to take decisive action — particularly given the risk that an Israeli attack on Iran would carry.

With most of its population concentrated in a narrow corridor of land along the Mediterranean, Israel’s home front could be vulnerable to a counterattack if Israel were to strike.

An Israeli attack would also likely spark retaliation from Iran and local Iranian proxies, the Hamas militant group in the Gaza Strip to Israel’s south and Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon along Israel’s northern border. Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah all possess formidable rocket and missile arsenals.

Barak lashed out against the recent reports suggesting that he and Netanyahu were intent on attacking Iran, over the objection of Israeli defense chiefs. He also accused critics of fear mongering by warning of mass Israeli casualties in the case of an Iranian missile strike.

“This outlandish depiction (by the media) of two people, the prime minister and the defense minister, sitting in a closed room and leading the entire country into an adventurist operation is baseless and divorced from reality,” he said.

A larger forum of Cabinet ministers would have to make that decision — if it is made at all, he said. “We haven’t decided yet to embark on any operation,” he said. “We don’t want war.”

But if Israel is dragged into one, he said, “I tell you there won’t be 100,000 casualties, and not 10,000 casualties and not 1,000 casualties,” he said. “And Israel won’t be destroyed.”

In 1981, Israel stunned the world with an airstrike on an unfinished nuclear reactor in Iraq that destroyed Saddam Hussein’s nuclear program. Israeli warplanes also destroyed a site in Syria in 2007 that the U.N. nuclear watchdog deemed to be a secretly built nuclear reactor, though Israel never acknowledged responsibility for the attack.

Iran’s program would be significantly more difficult to cripple because its facilities are scattered, and some are mobile and some built underground.

In 1990, we, with the support of the U.N., drove the Iraqi Republican Guard out of Kuwait, after they had invaded that country, to “ restore Kuwait’s sovereignty”. (and restore the oil everyone is addicted to) Did we go right into Baghdad, and depose Hussein as we should have done while we had this support? NO.

After 9-11, with erroneous intel, President Bush proceeded to invade Iraq.  Here we are, some EIGHT years later; as of May 1st.  There is  no real evidence of success that Iraq can stand on its own, any more than South Viet Nam could. SO HERE IS THE BEGGING QUESTION:  Below is an insightful political cartoon. With the world economic situation, OUR present economic situation, which is the better course of action; Bring the troops home, with an uncertain job market, rampant unemployment, and other issues? If we do, will we use some to guard the 1,200 mile border which our government refuses -so far- to do, in view of the drug cartels and immigration situation?  Or do we take the position, as indicated by Mr. Ramirez, that it would be a waste of our fallen troops efforts to leave now? Executive Summary

Radical Islamism is on the rise across the globe and within the United States. Our policies to deal with the threat have been inadequate through several administrations. The problem lies in the liberal philosophies political correctness and appease m e n t. The refusal to recognize that Islam is more than a religion has blinded us to the threat we face. As a result, we are more vulnerable than ever to Islamic terrorism and the more gradual but even more dangerous civilizational jihad. The Obama administration has taken us on the wrong course. We need new leadership at the top to reset our policies back to the conservative approach of peace through strength. Radical Islamism Defined

Radical Islamism is one of greatest long term threats to our national security. While portraying itself to the West as merely a religion, it is much more than that. It is a totalitarian theo-political, social and economic system that guides every aspect of the believer’s lives through a system of jurisprudence called Sharia law. Sharia law is completely incompatible with our values and freedoms set forth in our constitution. It mandates intolerance to other religions, prohibits freedom of conscience by mandating the death penalty for apostasy, orders the death penalty for homosexuality and discriminates against women in a most brutal and dehumanizing way. It is a threat because the openly stated goal by both mainstream clerics and terrorists is a global Islamic caliphate, subject to Sharia law.

The Threat is Real

The threat is from both violent and civilizational jihad. Civilizational Jihad is perhaps the greater threat due to its stealthy nature and the ability to hide behind our anti-discrimination and freedom of religion laws.

Andrew McCarthy, author of “The Grand Jihad- How Islam and the Left Sabotage America” explains in this interview with FrontPage that “The Grand Jihad is an effort to dig deeper into what that national security challenge is, and in particular, to stress that terrorism is only a small subset of it. Islamists consider themselves to be in a “civilizational jihad” — their words, not mine — against the West. They use terrorism to great effect, but the battle proceeds on every conceivable front in our society: the media, the academy, and our politics, law and culture. And their aim is nothing less than the “destruction of the West” — as Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, the Muslim Brotherhood’s spiritual guide (and probably the most influential Sunni cleric in the world), puts it, “to conquer America” and “conquer Europe.”

Where Obama’s Policies Have Gotten Us

The consequences of Obama’s foreign policy have been disastrous. By projecting weakness he has emboldened our enemies. It started with the Cairo speech, where he invited the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood to be guests in the audience thereby lending them legitimacy and support. Today, Egypt is set to return to Islamic fundamentalism with the Brotherhood at the helm and they are forming new alliances with Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah.

Obama’s inaction in Iran during their green revolution and reliance upon diplomacy for nuclear nonproliferation has emboldened Iran. Iran could be as close as two months away from having a nuclear weapon. Our traditional allies in the fight against terror and advancement of democracy have been thrown under the bus. Israel, in particular, has been put in grave danger due to Obama currying favor with Islamists.

The misguided Muslim outreach program here at home is also dangerous and self-defeating. It has put in place policies that make us blind to stealth jihad. Whitewashing Islamic Jihad

James Clapper’s incredible mischaracterization of Muslim Brotherhood: Via Hot Air, In response to questioning from Rep. Sue Myrick (R-N.C.) about the threat posed by the group, Clapper suggested that the Egyptian part of the Brotherhood is not particularly extreme and that the broader international movement is hard to generalize about.

“The term ‘Muslim Brotherhood’…is an umbrella term for a variety of movements, in the case of Egypt, a very heterogeneous group, largely secular, which has eschewed violence and has decried Al Qaeda as a perversion of Islam,” Clapper said. “They have pursued social ends, a betterment of the political order in Egypt, et cetera…..In other countries, there are also chapters or franchises of the Muslim Brotherhood, but there is no overarching agenda, particularly in pursuit of violence, at least internationally.”

Peace Through Strength

The conservative approach to national security and foreign policy has always been to maintain a strong military and be willing to act alone militarily if necessary when in our national interest. Conservatives also believe in providing strong US leadership in forming international coalitions. In contrast with Obama’s attempted use of diplomacy and multilateral dialogue in dealing with nuclear proliferation, the conservative approach would be a much more hardline carrot and stick approach.
In the present political climate, with the influence of the economic downturn, the rise of the tea party movement and war weariness on the part of the American people, the Republican Party is beginning to move away from the idea of costly and ineffective nation building.
What conservatives are looking for in a leader is a person who believes in American Exceptionalism, unapologetic of our role as the world’s number one superpower.
In the coming 2012 elections, voters will want to know where the candidates stand on radical Islam and national security.

Allen West, a Leader For Our Time

The most knowledgeable and outspoken candidate is Congressman Allen West R(Fl-22) who is running for reelection to his seat. http://west.house.gov/ There is a growing movement to draft him to run for president.

Allen West’s insightful, well researched views on Islam, jihad and domestic foreign policy have put him in the spotlight and his interviews on the subject have become youtube hits.

The West doctrine was expressed in his CPAC speech;

  • Peace through vigilance, through resolve, through strength.
  • He mentioned the famous Edmund Burke quote, one of my personal favorites: “All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.”
  • He quoted Sun Tzu: “To know your enemy, and to know yourself, and to know the terrain or the environment, in countless battles, you will always be victorious.”
  • And then he made the most important statement of the night: “Peace begins with courageous leaders who are willing to identify and define our enemy, and their objectives, because political correctness has no place in our national security strategy.” (the crowd screamedand another standing ovation ensued)
  • He said he was appalled that the Fort Hood shooting was treated like workplace violence.
  • He said “A new America, a secure America, means that we can ill afford to have a twenty-first century Sir Neville Chamberlain moment.”
  • He said “And yes, yes I do have a problem with granting American Constitutional rights to terrorists while we attempt to and have imprisoned our own warriors for killing terrorists.” (another standing ovation – there were so many during this speech)
  • Here’s another money quote: “The dawn of a new America means this: Secure our borders and enforce our laws. Recognize the emerging threats on the Korean peninsula. Recognize the threats that are coming out of South and Central America. And confront the radical Islamic non-state, non-uniformed belligerents who transit freely across borders, killing and promoting a seventh century ideology that is anathema to the values of America and to Western civilization.”
  • He said that we must never forget that Israel is our greatest ally in the Middle East, and vowed that “I shall never let Israel down.”Hat tip winteryknight
