We are hearing a lot about how many illegal aliens are currently resident in the US.  Frankly, we’re hearing a lot of lies from people whose agenda is to grant mass amnesty to illegal aliens.

Let’s start with 2006.  That was a watershed year for proponents of amnesty including then President Bush and Senators John McCain and Teddy Kennedy.  Let me point out that any politician who would make peace with Teddy Kennedy on any issue should be subject to stoning.

2006 was the last big push for amnesty.  At that time we were told that there were approximately 11 million aliens in the US illegally.  The number is an estimate and is certainly subject to bias, so let’s look at what was reported in 2006 in the Christian Science Monitor.

Based on the national census in 2000, the US Census Bureau puts the estimate of illegal immigrants at 8.7 million. As of 2003, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services put the number at 7 million. Since then, United States immigration officials have said the number has grown by as much as 500,000 a year.

Those closest to the fight to protect US borders say the figure is higher. The US Border Patrol union Local 2544 in Tucson, Ariz., says the total number of illegal immigrants in the US today [2006] is between 12 million and 15 million.

The Pew Hispanic Center, a nonpartisan research organization in Washington, estimates 11.5 million to 12 million “unauthorized migrants” live in the US today [2006]. …

There may be as many as 20 million illegal immigrants in the US today – more than twice the official Census Bureau estimate, according to Bear Stearns researchers …

You should read the whole article.  Let me note that the Christian Science Monitor generally does a good unbiased job of reporting and I think this is a very fair story.  The bottom line is that the number is an educated guess and there is every reason to believe that 11 million is a very conservative estimate.

Another very important take away from the article is that illegal border crossing has increased dramatically over time.

The number of “unauthorized migrants” (which includes some who have temporary permission to live in the US or those whose immigration status is unresolved), also has grown since legalization programs began in the mid-1980s, Pew reported last month: About 180,000 a year in the 1980s; 400,000 per year from 1990-1994; 575,000 per year from 1995-1999; and 850,000 per year from 2000-2005.

In other words, offer the hope of amnesty and increase the flood of illegals.

Interestingly enough, the Department of Homeland Security reached the same conclusion.

In summary, there were an estimated 11.6 million unauthorized immigrants living in the United States as of January 2006. Nearly 4.2 million had entered in 2000 or later.

What’s happening with the numbers today?  Well, Pew Research says the number is flat at about 11.1 million.  They say, as does DHS, that the number peaked in 2007 and has dropped back to the 11 million base.  The drop off is attributed to economic conditions in the US.

While it is true that illegals were leaving for economic reasons, they are flooding back today.  As we noted in Part 3, the border patrol estimates that illegal crossings have increased by a factor of eight to ten since President Obama announced his intention to grant amnesty on August 15th of last year.  Their estimates are based on the assumption that they catch about half of the illegal crossers, but DHS data from drone over-flights during the same time period indicate that they catch about 6% of the crossrs.

While it’s still guesswork, it’s my guesswork and I think a fair estimate of illegals currently in the US is more on the order 15 million as a conservative number.

So what?  Well, according to NumbersUSA in an article in The Daily Caller that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The pending Senate immigration bill would bring a minimum of 33 million people into the country during its first decade of operation…

The majority of the inflow, or roughly 17 million people, would consist of family members of illegals, recent immigrants and of company-sponsored workers…

When you look at these numbers, keep in mind that the current population of illegals are unskilled workers filling jobs that are considered to be minimum wage, entry level jobs.  When they’re working.  Guess what the families of those unskilled workers are likely to be?  Yep.  More unskilled workers looking for entry level jobs.

Guess what group of people have the highest unemployment rate?  Yep.  Unskilled, uneducated workers.

We’re getting ready to allow about 33 million people into our country, grant them citizenship and welcome them to the welfare roles.

Raping Arizona… Parts 2,3,& 4

IN PART II, I MUST STATE THAT ONLY A CURRENT RESIDENT OF ARIZONA COULD BE MORE CONCERNED REGARDING THIS ISSUE, THAN THIS FORMER ARIZONAN.  THE INFO ON GOV JAN BREWER WAS A NASTY SURPRISE.  THE INADEQUACIES OF SB 1070 ARE ALSO SHOCKING.

THE TRAGIC EVENTS THAT HAVE TAKEN PLACE, OCCURRED IN PLACES I WAS QUITE FAMILIAR WITH;  I TAKE THIS VERY PERSONALLY.  THE AREAS IN QUESTION,  THE REPREHENSIBLE SIGNAGE WHICH IN EFFECT CEDES A LARGE PART OF MY FORMER ”BACKYARD” TO THESE VERMIN,  WERE A PART OF MY LIFE INTO MY ADULT YEARS.  INSTEAD OF PROMPT  FEDERAL ACTION, THE SPINELESS FEDS HAVE, THROUGH INACTION, UNDERMINED OUR SOVEREIGNTY, AND -I FEEL- THIS QUALIFIES AS TREASON.  OUR PRESENT IMMIGRATION POLICY IS A SICK JOKE.

Raping Arizona… Part 2 – SB1070

Posted  by on Apr 24, 2013

Yesterday we introduced you to what life is REALLY like on the southern border and it’s not what Janet Napolitano and John McCain would have you believe.  Arizona is being invaded by a criminal class and the pro-amnesty crowd is ignoring it and lying about it.

Today, I’m going to talk about SB1070, the state’s immigration law that drove President Obama and the open borders folks to distraction.  As a reminder, this is a series and upcoming installments will include…

  • Drug and immigration cartels.

  • The Fence.

  • The Numbers.  How many illegals are here and how many are coming across.

  • What is the Border Patrol doing and how effective are they?

  • How to stop the flow.

  • Gang of Eight Immigration Legislation, good or bad?

SB1070SB1070 created lots of controversy in Arizona’s effort to fight illegal immigration.  We got sued by all the usual suspects, lost in Federal Court, lost in the Ninth Circus and won in the Supreme Court.  The most controversial parts of the law included what opponents called “show me your papers” and a requirement that business use eVerify to verify that new employees are eligible to be hired.

Our Governor, Jan Brewer, has gotten plaudits around the country from conservatives for SB1070.  Let me be clear about this.  Jan Brewer is a political hack, she had nothing to do with writing SB1070, did not support it or comment on it as it made its way through the legislature and nobody knew if she would sign it or veto it after it passed.  She waited until the last day to sign, walked out on a stage and at least half the state – the conservative part – was shocked when she signed it.

It was a purely a survival move.  She had taken office when Janet Napolitano went to Washington and was in a four way reelection fight, she was running third and falling.  Her handlers played the game well.  Brewer read her lines very well, even stood up to Obama (although I think that was to sell more books – she’d just self-published an ebook that went through the roof after her airport confrontation with the President) and walked to an easy win in the primary and general election.  Again, Jan Brewer is a hack.

With respect to SB1070, I’ve been an opponent of it since day one.  I thought it targeted the wrong people, would create unnecessary dust-ups, like the litigation process we were tied up in for years, and would end up being ineffective.  I was right.

The point of SB1070 was never to enforce immigration law, it was to create a hostile environment so illegals would get out of Arizona and head for friendlier climes, like California.  They are bankrupting our state, California doesn’t seem to mind bankrupting theirs so there was hope SB1070 would give illegals the incentive to leave the state.  It did work for a little while, but eventually everything bogged down.  It’s expensive to administrate and the Feds didn’t want to take the illegal we were arresting.

First of all, the “show me your papers” part of the law.  In the world of stupid, that was king.  The State of Arizona has had a law on the books for decades that required every citizen to have a state issued photo ID on their person at all times.  It’s a misdemeanor and you are subject to arrest if you don’t have one when asked to identify yourself by a police officer.  All this section did, according to dozens of police officers I spoke with, was effectively put a lawyer in car with them every time they asked someone for ID.  It added nothing to their ability to do their job, took about zero additional illegals off the street and created a firestorm in the process.

The good part of the law was the eVerify requirement.  Businesses hated it and campaigned against it.  Even though it made the final cut, the law is toothless and doesn’t provide enough punishment for ignoring it.

eVerify is a great solution.  It’s 98% accurate, it’s free assuming you have an internet connection and it takes less than a minute.  It’s similar to the requirement for an I9 form that all businesses are required to collect on new hires, but it accesses the Social Security database and verifies that the employee is who he or she says they are.

SB1070 could have worked had the legislature found a spine.  The solution is simple and basically ignores the illegals.

First, require eVerify for every employee.  SB1070 gave a pass to existing employees and that is an open admission by the business lobby that they’ve got illegals on their payrolls.

Second, extend the eVerify requirement to rental housing.  Require that landlords or their agents have an eVerify result on every tenant in a rental property.

Third, make enforcement worthwhile and make compliance a matter of life and death.

The state would audit businesses and rental properties on a routine basis.  The business would be required to provide proof that they have eVerify forms for every employee or tenant.  If an employee or tenant is found to be an illegal alien, the eVerify form is an affirmative defense.

If they do not have the form it’s an automatic fine of $1,000 per missing form.  If the employee or tenant is found to be an illegal, the fine jumps to $20,000 and the business owner/landlord/property manager is charged with a felony.  The fine is not dischargeable in bankruptcy and if the business is unable to pay the fine it attaches to the owners.  The felony charge is not able to be reduced.

The fines are large enough that the state will aggressively pursue enforcement of the law and it won’t tie up police to enforce it.  Accountants will work just fine and they’re cheaper than cops.  In addition, the businesses that are most prone to hiring illegals are construction and hospitality.  You can’t get a business or liquor license in Arizona with a felony conviction.  Now you’ve got incentive for the businesses to follow the law.

Obviously this isn’t going to happen.  In the current legislation before the Senate the eVerify system is being scrapped and replaced with an new and undefined system and businesses have 10 years to implement it.  Get the idea?

We need to tell Congress that the Gang of Eight is wrong.  This current bill is amnesty for millions of lawbreakers, has no enforcement provisions that will be implemented and asks us to trust the same government that’s refused to secure the border for the past twenty years.

Part 3 – Who Controls the Border?

Posted  by on Apr 24, 2013

It’s not the Border Patrol or Homeland Security.

If your only source of information is network or cable TV or a newspaper you might thing the southern border is a safe and secure place.  Just ask Janet Napolitano

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has repeatedly claimed that the border is more secure than ever, but when DHS officials were pressed at a recent Homeland Security Committee hearing to demonstrate how this progress has been measured, they had no verifiable metrics to support their claims.

In fact, Napolitano has stopped using the widely accepted term of “operational control.” This was not because they had achieved it — it was precisely the opposite.

In fact, the southern border makes Chicago and Detroit look like an old folks home.

Part of the problem is that very few people actually know what the border looks like.  We hear lots of talk about “the fence” and politicians like John McCain love to be seen standing in front of the fence to give you the idea that the border is fenced and secure.  It’s not.

This is a fifteen foot post fence with a steel box on the top.  This is a secure fence that John McCain would like to stand in front of.

15 Ft Border Fence

That type of fence is on less than 10% of the border.  What actually passes for fencing is actually a vehicle barrier.

Vehicle Barrier

The cute girl is five feet five and the greenery is Mexico.  Welcome to what border security looks like.  It’s difficult to see the footprints in the dirt on the other side of the barrier, but there are paths coming over the side of the ditch that have obviously been used thousands of times and the footprints are all headed north.

The land on the south side of the vehicle barrier, which was once a ranch owned by John Wayne, is all owned by the Mexican drug cartels for as far as you can see.  This is a highway from Mexico into Arizona that illegal aliens and drugs flow over daily just like commuters into LA on Interstate 5.

You don’t hear anything about the increase in traffic that occurred once President Obama announced his plans for amnesty last year.  He made the announcement on August 15 and south of Tucson, which is one of three “major” border crossing areas, Border Patrol was apprehending about 10 people per day.  By October 31 that was up to 90 per day as shown on this chart from American Border Patrol.

Human Smuggling Chart

OK Mike, the border isn’t secure, so what?  Well, here’s the desert about 30 miles outside of Phoenix.  These pictures were taken about a mile from both Interstate 8 and 10, the major highways in Arizona.

Phoenix Drugs 2Phoenix Drugs 1

What you see here is trash from traffickers.  The burlap and the backpacks are filled with drugs on the Mexican side of the border and loaded onto the backs of “undocumented workers” who make the trek north in search of a better life for their family.  Or something.  This is not an isolated site, there are literally hundreds of them along the dirt road that is within sight of Interstate 8.

I ADDED THIS MAP – “X”

I have been to Organ Pipe Cactus Nat’l Monument,  Saguaro Nat’l Monument, Phoenix, Nogales, Tombstone, Sierra Vista, nearby Bisbee (not shown); Douglas, if memory serves me correctly, is where the rancher was murdered on his property.  Nogales, AZ is 65 miles south of Tucson. Most of the area from Phoenix on down,  is where the spineless Feds have posted the referred to warning signs.  Tucson and Phoenix have doubled in size since I left AZ; they used to be about 110 miles apart.

arizona

Here’s what happens when the “undocumented workers” get to the drop site.

Remember, Janet Napolitano thinks the border is secure.  And John McCain and his Gang of Eight buddies are insisting that there won’t be any “amnesty” until Homeland Security (an oxymoron if there ever was one) certifies that the border is “secure.”  My guess is that will take about a month.

Just in case you still want to think that the federal government is actually doing anything to secure the border, given the billions of dollars they’ve spent in the last few years, here is a “fence” at Naco, Arizona, sorry for the glare…

8 Ft Border Fence

This fence is about eight feet high and is nothing but corrugated metal bolted to steel fence posts.  There are any number of places where the metal has been cut with a saw or where someone has dug under it.  The typical repair is a patch over the cut and large rocks in the tunnels under the fence.

Not 50 feet away from that mess sits steel posts for a 15 foot fence that would actually secure the areas.  These fences are buried in six feet of concrete and have barriers on the top.  These posts have been laying there for as long as anybody can remember and there is no plan to actually do anything but store them.

Fence Rails

And while we’re talking about your tax money at work, the folks from Arizona Project who put this tour together took us by three Border Patrol offices and one highway checkpoint.  There are literally hundreds of Border Patrol vehicles – all GM SUVs – parked at each location.  There are more vehicles than officers to drive them.  Remember that the next time you hear GM is selling lots of cars.

Border Patrol Vehicles

We need to secure our border, it’s a basic function of the federal government.  The immigration bill that the Gang of Eight put together in secret and is trying to ram through the US Senate will not do the job.  It will leave the border open and grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

Let your Congressman and your Senators know you want the border secured before we even talk about immigration policy.

Part 4 – Build the Dang Fence.

Posted  by on Apr 25, 2013

Since then… Crickets

We’ve all heard about how “border security” is included in the latest amnesty bill that McCain and the Gang of Eight are pushing.  Let’s be clear about security, a fence is critical to stopping the flow of illegal aliens and drugs.  Yesterday, we looked at pictures of what passes for “fence” on the border between Mexico and Arizona.  A real fence looks like this, it’s 15 feet high buried in six feet of concrete, is made of steel posts and has a cap on the top to deter climbers.

15 Ft Border Fence

Actually, this type of fence occupies just a few paltry miles of the border and it works quite well in those few paltry miles.  What actually passes for “fence” when the politicians talk about it looks more like this, minus the cute girl who is about five foot five.

Vehicle Barrier

As you might guess, this one might keep an SUV out of the country but it doesn’t even begin to slow down somebody on foot even if they’re carrying a backpack with eighty pounds of drugs.

Add to that outrage the fact that huge sections of the border don’t even have that.  There’s at least one Indian tribe that has land on the border and because they’re a “sovereign nation” they don’t allow the US government to erect a barrier.  Then there are some areas that are controlled by the US Department of the Interior and for environmental reasons no barriers are allowed.  As a matter of fact the US Border Patrol is not even allowed to patrol those areas without permission from Interior 30 days in advance.

But never fear, Janet Napolitano, who will be the person the proposed legislation allows to declare the border is secure, has assured us border security has never been better

“Now, I often hear the argument that before reform can move forward, we must first secure our borders. But too often, the border-security-first refrain simply serves as an excuse for failing to address the underlying problems,” Napolitano told the Senate Judiciary Committee today at a hearing on immigration.

“It also ignores the significant progress and efforts that we have undertaken over the past four years. Our borders have, in fact, never been stronger.”…

She said the results of 1986 amnesty wouldn’t happen again because “immigration enforcement now is light years away from what it was.”

“I think in 1986 there were a couple of miles of fence along the entire southern border and it was basically chain-link fence,”

I don’t think I need to comment much on the rank stupidity of those claims, the pictures above pretty well deconstruct them.

The Gang of Eight is also assuring us that they’ve built a clause into the legislation that requires that 90% of border crossers are apprehended before amnesty is doled out.  Well, they got gamed because there is actually no link between amnesty and border security, the legislation treats them as mutually exclusive.  And as to assurances that “…enforcement is light years away from what it was…” we’ve got some new data.

The U.S. Border Patrol has caught a fraction of the border crossers spotted by a sophisticated sensor mounted on unmanned spy aircraft and flown over remote stretches of desert, casting doubts on claims that the area is more secure than ever, according to documents obtained by the Center for Investigative Reporting.

The border crossers were spotted with a new, all-seeing radar system developed for use in the Afghanistan War and patrolling above the U.S.-Mexico border in parts of Arizona since March 2012. The system can reveal every man, woman and child under its gaze from a height of about 25,000 feet.

Between October and December, records show, the remotely operated aircraft detected 7,333 border crossers during its Arizona missions. Border Patrol agents, however, reported 410 apprehensions during that time, according to an internal agency report. The sensor was credited with providing surveillance that led to 52 arrests and 15,135 pounds of seized marijuana.

I have an engineering degree from a top university.  I learned how to do math but this problem really only requires 2nd grade arithmetic.  Or in today’s schools, maybe high school arithmetic.

If I divide 410 by 7,333 (that would be number caught by number of crossers) I get 5.59%.  I’m guessing that in whatever arithmetic is in use today that 5.59% is still a whole lot less than 90%.  So, we’re a tad short of our goal.  But we’re going ahead with amnesty anyway.

I’ve got $100 I’m willing to wager on whether the government even attempts to do better than six percent.

Bottom line, we don’t have a fence on the vast majority of the border and there is no plan to build one.

Napolitano, a former Arizona governor, noted a U.S. Border Patrol study determined a fence makes sense on 653 miles of the 2,000-mile southern border and so far some sort of fencing is up on 652 of those miles.

Get the idea?  It’s way past time to contact your Senators and your Representative.  Click the button and you can get their telephone numbers and you can send them faxes.  Let them know that it’s way past time to put security first and this bill doesn’t even address security in any meaningful way.

Raping Arizona …

Posted  by on Apr 22, 2013

and the nation.

Last Saturday my wife and I were guests of Project Arizona, a group headquartered in Phoenix that is doing the Lord’s work when it comes to educating people on border security and immigration issues.

This is the first of a series on border security and immigration that I’ll putting up exclusively here at Joe for America.  Today’s installment will show you where we went and give you a firsthand account of what it’s like to live on the border with Mexico.  It will also reinforce why this information is critical right now.

I’ve never asked my readers to do this, but today I’m asking you to send a link to everyone you know with today’s installment and encourage them to follow the whole series.  This is an education you will not get anywhere else, certainly not in the major media and not in a condensed form even in the blogosphere.

Over the next week I’ll be covering the following…

  • Illegal immigration law in Arizona, specifically SB 1070 and how it SHOULD have been written.

We need to get the word out and get people off the couch and activated if we’re going win this latest version of the amnesty war.  Byron York, in yesterday’s Washington Examiner, lays out the battle lines.

Organizing for Action, the activist group that grew out of President Obama’s 2012 campaign, plans what it calls a “major day of action” next month to gather support for the bipartisan Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform bill.

“This is a huge moment for President Obama,” said Emmy Ruiz, OFA’s immigration campaign manager, in an email sent to supporters of the Obama campaign Sunday. “The president made it clear last year that comprehensive immigration reform is a big part of his agenda — and we can help him keep that promise to the American people.”

Get the idea?  President Obama just took a major hit on the chin.  Don’t think for a minute that he’s down, he’s not.  His morphed campaign organization, OFA, will pull out all the stops to see that this bill is passed.  I can guarantee you they consider it a matter of life and death and we should as well.  Because it is.

I am not anti-immigration, and I don’t know anyone who is.  I am pro-legal immigration and the central point to my belief is that all immigration policy should benefit the United States of America.  I have no problem changing our existing policies to allow for increased immigration, but I have huge problem with rewarding law breakers and defacto punishing those who have been willing to follow the law.

What has illegal immigration done to my wonderful state of Arizona?  Well, here is a sign that stands about 30 miles south of Phoenix, about 100 miles north of the border with Mexico.

Immigration Danger Sign

You’ll see pictures not far from this sign in a coming installment that illustrates just how dangerous our desert has become.  This sign, by the way, is not out in the middle of a barren desert inhabited by snakes and Gila monsters.  It’s just a few miles away from cities where thousands of people – American citizens – live and work and it’s 100 miles north of the Mexican border.

So, if the area 100 miles north of the border is dangerous enough to put up a sign like that, what’s it like to live on the border?

We met with a group of residents of Cochise County – including County Sheriff Mark Dannels – to find out what it is like on the front lines.  I’ll talk more about that, but here’s a welcome letter one of our hosts read.

Our Tea Party and our community are grateful for your coming and listening to our stories and experiences.  It means so much t us that there are those who care and are willing to listen.  We see our friends, neighbors, children and grandchildren and want for them a safe environment.  A home that they can feel secure in, to live without having to check each room for intruders when they come home.  We do not want to live with news casts about tunnels under our border full of illegal drugs. We do not want to live with the pervasive flow of criminals and drugs through our community.

But my biggest fear is not intruders, drug runners or criminals, it is being forgotten.  It is after all the visits, all the speakers, all the talks that we will go back to our homes and our lives without knowing what affect our stories will have had or accomplished.  This is the third year the Palominas Tea Party has hosted these visits and we will continue to welcome those who come to hear our stories of how we cope with life on our unsecure border.  As long as you want to hear, we will tell our stories.  We have lived with home invasions, drug running, property damage, intimidation and even murders.  In response we are ignored, sued, called bigots, defamed and maligned.  Our homes are threatened and our mountain burned.

I know that none of you would be here if you did not care about this state and our situation.  Your concern is evident because you return year after year to listen and learn.  I believe it is time to turn this talk into mutual action.  I leave you with this question, How can we work together to accomplish our goal?

Thank you…

Welcome to the real world.  The assault on our southern border is increasing and despite assurances from Janet Napolitano, it is not secure and our towns and cities are not safe.

The picture John McCain, Jeff Flake and the rest of the Gang of Eight, along with the Obama Administration and the media, is painting is a lie, but what else would you expect from a Gang.

This series is a call to action and time is running out.  I trust you’ll find it informative, but we need to do more than “get informed.”  We need to act.  Today, you can reach out and get ten friends who are willing to find out what is really going on at our southern border and starting tomorrow you’ll have the ability to contact your Representatives and Senators directly from Joe for America.  We need to let them know that we won’t stand for amnesty.

THE PROBLEM ISN’T JUST ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, IT’S LEGAL IMMIGRATION, TOO

April 24, 2013

The people of Boston are no longer being terrorized by the Marathon bombers, but amnesty supporters sure are.

On CNN’s “State of the Union” last weekend, Sen. Lindsey Graham’s response to the Boston Marathon bombers being worthless immigrants who hate America — one of whom the FBI cleared even after being tipped off by Russia — was to announce: “The fact that we could not track him has to be fixed.”

Track him? How about not admitting him as an immigrant?

As if it’s a defense, we’re told Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (of the Back Bay Tsarnaevs) were disaffected “losers” — the word used by their own uncle — who couldn’t make it in America. Their father had already returned to Russia. Tamerlan had dropped out of college, been arrested for domestic violence and said he had no American friends. Dzhokhar was failing most of his college courses. All of them were on welfare.

(Dzhokhar was given everything America had to offer, and now he only has one thing in his future to look forward to … a tenured professorship.)

My thought is, maybe we should consider admitting immigrants who can succeed in America, rather than deadbeats.

But we’re not allowed to “discriminate” in favor of immigrants who would be good for America. Instead of helping America, our immigration policies are designed to help other countries solve their internal problems by shipping their losers to us.

The problem isn’t just illegal immigration. I would rather have doctors and engineers sneaking into the country than legally arriving ditch-diggers.

Teddy Kennedy’s 1965 immigration act so dramatically altered the kinds of immigrants America admits that, since 1969, about 85 percent of legal immigrants have come from the Third World. They bring Third World levels of poverty, fertility, illegitimacy and domestic violence with them. When they can’t make it in America, they simply go on welfare and sometimes strike out at Americans.

In addition to the four dead and more than 100 badly wounded victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, let’s consider a few of the many other people who would be alive, but for Kennedy’s immigration law:

– The six Long Island railroad passengers murdered in 1993 by Jamaican immigrant Colin Ferguson. Before the shooting, Ferguson was unemployed, harassing women on subways, repeatedly bringing lawsuits against police and former employers, applying for workman’s compensation for fake injuries and blaming all his problems on white people. Whom he then decided to murder.

– The two people killed outside CIA headquarters in 1993 by Pakistani illegal immigrant Mir Qazi. He had been working as a driver for a courier company. (It’s nearly impossible to find an American who can drive.)

– Christoffer Burmeister, a 27 year-old musician killed in a mass shooting by Palestinian immigrant Ali Hassan Abu Kamal in 1997 at the Empire State Building. Hassan had immigrated to America with his family two months earlier at age 68. (It’s a smart move to bring in immigrants just in time to pay them Social Security benefits!)

– Bill Cosby’s son, Ennis, killed in 1997 by 18-year-old Ukrainian immigrant Mikhail Markhasev, who had come to this country with his single mother eight years earlier — because we were running short on single mothers.
Markhasev, who had a juvenile record, shot Cosby point-blank for taking too long to produce his wallet. He later bragged about killing a “n*gger.”

– The three people murdered at the Appalachian School of Law in 2002 by Nigerian immigrant Peter Odighizuwa, angry at America because he had failed out of law school. At least it’s understandable why our immigration policies would favor a 43-year-old law student. It’s so hard to get Americans to go to law school these days!

– The stewardess and passenger murdered by Egyptian immigrant Hesham Mohamed Hadayet when he shot up the El Al ticket counter at the Los Angeles airport in 2002. Hesham, a desperately needed limousine driver, received refugee status in the U.S. because he was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Apparently, that’s a selling point if you want to immigrate to America.

– The six men murdered by Mexican immigrant Salvador Tapia at the Windy City Core Supply warehouse in Chicago in 2003, from which he had been fired six months earlier. Tapia was still in this country despite having been arrested at least a dozen times on weapons and assault charges. Only foreign newspapers mentioned that Tapia was an immigrant. American newspapers blamed the gun.

– The six people killed in northern Wisconsin in 2004 by Hmong immigrant Chai Soua Vang, who shot his victims in the back after being caught trespassing on their property. Minnesota Public Radio later explained that Hmong hunters don’t understand American laws about private property, endangered species, or really any laws written in English. It was an unusual offense for a Hmong, whose preferred crime is raping 12- to 14-year-old girls — as extensively covered in the Fresno Bee and Minneapolis Star Tribune.

– The five people murdered at the Trolley Square Shopping Mall in Salt Lake City by Bosnian immigrant Sulejman Talovic in 2007. Talovic was a Muslim high school dropout with a juvenile record. No room for you, Swedish doctor. We need resentful Muslims!

– The 32 people murdered at Virginia Tech in 2007 by Seung-Hui Cho, a South Korean immigrant.

– The 13 soldiers murdered at Fort Hood in 2009 by “accused” shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, son of Palestinian immigrants. Hasan’s parents had operated a restaurant in Roanoke, Va., because where are we going to find Americans to do that?

– The 13 people killed at the American Civic Association in Binghamton, N.Y., by Vietnamese immigrant Jiverly Wong, who became a naturalized citizen two years after being convicted of fraud and forgery in California. Wong was angry that people disrespected him for his poor English skills.

– Florence Donovan-Gunderson, who was shot along with her husband, and three National Guardsmen in a Carson City IHOP gunned down by Mexican immigrant Eduardo Sencion in 2011.

– The three people, including a 15-year-old girl, murdered in their home in North Miami by Kesler Dufrene, a Haitian immigrant and convicted felon who had been arrested nine times, but was released when Obama halted deportations to Haiti after the earthquake. Dufrene chose the house at random.

– The many African-Americans murdered by Hispanic gangs in Los Angeles in the last few years, including Jamiel Shaw Jr., a star football player being recruited by Stanford; Cheryl Green, a 14-year-old eighth-grade student chosen for murder solely because she was black; and Christopher Ash, who witnessed Green’s murder.
During the three years from 2010 through 2012, immigrants have committed about a dozen mass murders in this country, not including the 9/11 attack.

The mass murderers were from Afghanistan, South Korea, Vietnam, Haiti, South Africa, Ethiopia and Mexico. None were from Canada or Western Europe.

I don’t want to hear about the black crime rate or the Columbine killers. We’re talking about immigrants here! There should be ZERO immigrants committing crimes. There should be ZERO immigrants accepting government assistance. There should be ZERO immigrants demanding that we speak their language.

We have no choice about native-born losers. We ought to be able to do something about the people we chose to bring here.

Meanwhile, our government officials just keep singing the praises of “diversity,” while expressly excluding skilled immigrants who might be less inclined to become “disaffected” and lash out by killing Americans.

In response to the shooting at Fort Hood, Army Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey Jr. said: “As horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.”

On “Fox News Sunday” this week, former CIA director Gen. Michael Hayden said of the Boston bombing suspects, “We welcome these kinds of folks coming to the United States who want to be contributing American citizens.”

Unless, that is, they have a college degree and bright prospects. Those immigrants are prohibited.

Ready for a ‘lil war with Mexico?  -  Time to boycott Absolut Vodka, while we’re at it….

The Conquest of Aztlan
Could Mexico retake the southwestern United States?
Illegal crossings of the U.S.-Mexico border have doubled recently, and possibly even tripled, since the latest congressional push toward “comprehensive immigration reform” – which many consider a euphemism for amnesty.
Indeed, as journalist Katie Pavlich has reported, some border patrol agents claim illegals are coming to the U.S. in much higher numbers in just the past few months, with data from Customs and Border Protection showing 504 illegals were detected crossing in just one border sector between Feb. 5 and March 1. Only 189 were caught on camera, and just 174 of the 504 were apprehended. Of those spotted on camera, 32 were carrying huge packs believed to contain drugs and several were heavily armed.
But could, as some immigration activists openly advocate, Mexico actually retake the Southwestern part of the United States?
Not only are the Mexicans capable, but an invasion is underway, insists immigration expert Glenn Spencer.
In The Conquest of Aztlan, Spencer unveils the aims of a radical movement that identifies itself as “America’s Palestinians.” Their ultimate goal is to reclaim the American Southwest, including California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas. Hispanic activists refer to the former Mexican territory as Aztlan, the mythical place of origin of the Aztec people.

This is not merely the irrational scheme of some fringe group. Using original footage, Spencer shows how the pronouncements of Mexican officials and their policies support a reconquest of the Southwest. Perhaps even more importantly, Spencer contends, U.S. immigration policies and lax enforcement are paving the way for this invasion.

In The Conquest of Aztlan you’ll see how:

  • Former Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo made a de facto declaration of war on the U.S.
  • The Mexican government helped quash an immigration measure passed by the people of California.
  • A fifth column of subversives is plotting to recolonize the United States.
  • Mexican officials prepare citizens to invade the U.S.
  • Mexican anti-Americanism revealed itself after the Sept. 11 attack.
  • Immigrants in the U.S. are encouraged to vote in the interests of Mexico.
  • U.S. policies ultimately are leading to a breakup of the country.

NumbersUSA – SAY NO TO AMNESTY!

I COULDN’T USE THEIR ACTUAL MESSAGE, OR PUT THE URL AS IT CONTAINS MY INFO. I PIECED IT TOGETHER WITH THE REFERRED URL TO SIGN THIS PETITION.  “X”

Note my earlier post on Schumer – [scroll down to third post]

NumbersUSA                  Urgent Action

Just before State of Union, signatures on anti-amnesty petition soar past
pro-amnesty petition of ‘Gang of 8′ (but will take a lot to stay ahead)

DEAR FRIENDS,

Sen. Schumer’s PRO-amnesty petition had a big day today and seems to be picking up momentum.

But the nation’s top ANTI-amnesty petition has even more momentum. My great thanks to all of you who were part of adding more than 30,000 new signers today!

For the first time, the ANTI-amnesty petition has more signers than the one backing the Gang of Eight’s PRO-amnesty plan.

As of 9 p.m. Monday:

We’re in a public relations battle with Sen. Schumer (D-NY) who started his petition a week earlier than us to show the media that there is overwhelming support among the public for the bi-partisan Gang of Eight’s proposal to immediately give amnesty and U.S. work permits to 11 million illegal aliens.

Because NumbersUSA led the largest grassroots mobilization in the killing of amnesties in the House in the summer of 2006, and in the Senate in spring of 2007, autumn of 2007 and winter of 2010, the media tend to look to NumbersUSA’s petitions to compare their strength with the petitions of those pushing for more open borders

If you haven’t signed yet, click the petition button. If you have signed, click the button to refer the petition to more people and click the other button to send extra faxes to your Senators.

The Gang of Eight petition is being promoted in Daily Kos and other large-viewership websites. Our ANTI-amnesty petition is going to need lots of similar help if we are to show the media and Members of Congress that the passion of the American people is on the side of preventing an 8th amnesty.

Sign petition here  [ go to www.saynotoamnesty.com ]

We are expecting a wave of new PRO-amnesty signers Tuesday night after the President uses the State of the Union address to promote more foreign workers while claiming his top priority is putting more Americans back to work. And who knows what Sen. Rubio (R-Fla.) will say in his Republican rebuttal on TV — he’s a member with Schumer in the Gang of Eight.

A public opinion poll released last week found that about three times as many Americans strongly oppose an amnesty as strongly support one.

We need to reflect that on these petitions. This ANTI-amnesty petition really ought to have triple the signatures as the one for the Gang of Eight. At the very least, please make sure you have made it clear which petition and public policy you support.

THANKS,

roy beck

President Obama, Your 2 U.S. Senators, Your U.S. Representative, and Your State’s Governor Street Address City,StateZip

Dear President Obama, Your 2 U.S. Senators, Your U.S. Representative, and Your State’s Governor,

I oppose the Senate Gang of Eight’s amnesty proposal to legalize millions of illegal immigrants in a time of budget deficit crisis and high unemployment.

Combined with current laws, the legalization would be a pathway to massive new welfare expenditures, job competition, chain migration and more illegal immigration.

1. It would cost trillions of dollars in extra government spending on social services.

2. It would immediately put millions of illegal aliens in front of the employment line to hold or take U.S. jobs while 20 million Americans who want a full-time job can’t find one.

3. It would allow amnestied aliens to begin endless chains of relatives to come and add further competition for jobs and government resources.

4. It would immediately legalize 11 million illegal aliens without requiring triggers that fully implement enforcement first. The previous seven amnesties between 1986 and 2000 had no enforcement triggers and served only to entice 11 million new illegal immigrants who now demand their own amnesty.

Sincerely,

The current mass legalization of 20 million illegal aliens portends the onward march of displacing American citizens from their own language, their own culture and most certainly, their way of life.

A reader told me that we face “cosmic payback” or “cosmic karma” for doing the same thing to the aborigines of America when we slaughtered them by the hundreds of thousands. We moved them into permanent internment camps called “Reservations.”

We introduced them to alcohol which addled their brains to this day as hundreds of thousands of them suffer permanent alcoholism. Instead of teepees, they now live in broken down trailers or track housing and watch American TV, which diametrically opposes everything in their ancient cultures.

We subverted their religion. We stomped out their “Great Spirit” and forced the Bible upon them and our God-fearing ideas of the Creator. We forced their kids into our schools and we obliterated their languages and cultures.

While savaging some 522 tribes in North America, we called them “savages.”

Read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, Sand Creek Massacre and Trail of Tears for a gut wrenching history of the white man’s slaughter of Indians on his march across America and Manifest Destiny.

However, as we Americans race into the 21st century, we see the march other tribes invading not from Europe, but from Mexico, Brazil, Honduras, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Pakistan, Russia, China, India, Africa and other disparate locations across the planet. They vacate their failed societies to come to America for a “better life.” They flee starvation, misery, conflict and suffering. But they bring everything they fled into America.

We see our English language changing to fit their needs such as, “Push 1 for Arabic” in Detroit, Michigan. Push “2” for Spanish in most cities in America. Push “3” for English. Menus run in Spanish/English. All Home Depot and Lowe’s stores feature everything in Spanish and English. Banks serve in Spanish and English. Soon, Arabic.

We now suffer “Black flash mobs” beating up on American citizens. We see Mexicans gangs killing Blacks in Los Angeles. We see honor killings, arranged marriages and female genital mutilation growing in America via our Muslim immigrants. Yet, no one lifts a finger to stand up and speak out about English being our national language. No one defends the American way of life, our culture or language. Exactly the same displacement steamrolls over us as we steamrolled over the Indians.

(Same as Canada, Europe and Australia.) Americans do not realize their fate because they remain asleep at the wheel. They remain mesmerized by the indolent television and its mindless presentations 24/7.

Reader Mary Boyle wrote, “Again we have our leader(s) destroying our nation and the people are too stupid to realize it. I will enjoy seeing what happens in the end of this unread-written novel as things are moving so fast. We are being dismantled so quickly and the people are too stupid to realize what is happening to them.”

As the Mexicans become legalized and their numbers become the dominate tribe in 2040, they will change most television and radio into Spanish, just like we forced the Indians out of their own languages and religions. Immigrants of every stripe grow their power to force their languages and cultures upon us. Amazingly, whether legal or illegal migrants into America, they stick one foot into The United States and keep one foot via cell phone, glued to their mother country. In other words, they never become “Americans.” Hyphenated-Americans, yes!

Americans, no! Does anyone possess any clue as to what will happen when seven million Muslims in America become 20, 30 even 40 million Muslims? They will use our U.S. Constitution to institute Sharia Law into the foundation of America. I can see it coming as surely as the dawn.

Yet, our U.S. Congress and our citizens stagger on the side of stupid-street. We ignore our fate. We blithely continue in blissful ignorance. Once Sharia Law takes hold, watch what happens to women’s, children’s and gay rights. Watch what happens to free speech. Watch what happens to the foundation of our culture and language.

If I am the only American who sees this “thing” coming, I can say that I spoke up, I wrote up and I yelled loud and clear. I think very few Americans understand the enormity of adding 100 million, that’s 100,000,000 people to this country from hundreds of cultures and languages from around the world. That’s like creating three more California’s or fifty cities the size of Denver, Colorado.

We face total cultural, sociological and linguistic breakdown of America. As to quality of life and standard of living, shot to hell! As to environment: water, energy, resources—exhausted beyond solving.

These two quotes may be the most important of my career: “Many people, especially ignorant people, want to punish you for speaking the truth, for being correct. Never apologize for being correct, or for being years ahead of your time. If you’re right and you know it, speak your mind. Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is still the truth.”

Gandhi And the most important quote: “Most Western elites continue urging the wealthy West not to stem the migrant tide [that adds 80 million net gain annually to the planet], but to absorb our global brothers and sisters until their horrid ordeal has been endured and shared by all—ten billion humans packed onto an ecologically devastated planet.”

Dr. Otis Graham, Unguarded Gates Dear reader, within the next 37 years, our Congress will import 100 million immigrants from the third world into America. Do you think we stand a chance of maintaining what it means to be an American?

This Issue: Romney: Would honor work permits already issued to ‘Dreamers’ but would end future deferred action

We’re disappointed that immigration wasn’t included in the first Presidential debate on Wednesday night especially since the general topic was domestic policy. But that doesn’t mean immigration was void from the presidential campaign this week.

On Tuesday, GOP nominee Mitt Romney said during an interview with the Denver Post that he would honor the two-year work permits that illegal aliens would receive through DACA — DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano’s DREAM directive.

The people who have received the special visa that the president has put in place, which is a two-year visa, should expect that the visa would continue to be valid. I’m not going to take something that they’ve purchased.

But it’s what the campaign told the Boston Globe on Wednesday that was more telling.

His campaign later clarified that while Romney would honor permission to stay as granted under President Barack Obama, a Romney administration wouldn’t grant such permission.

So, illegal aliens who have been issued the permits before Romney took office would be allowed to finish their two-year work permits, but no more of the work permits would be issued. Romney has continued to state, though, that he will seek a permanent solution for illegal aliens who were brought to the country at a young age by their parents. That, of course, throws up some red flags that we’ll continue to follow very closely.

In other news this week, Gov. Jerry Brown in California vetoed the most extreme piece of legislation ever passed by a state legislature. The TRUST Act defied federal law and essentially would have turned the Golden State into a sanctuary for illegal aliens. We’re confident that the faxes and phone calls made by our California activists played a role in the governor’s veto! Gov. Brown did say, however, that he would work with lawmakers to write a better piece of legislation, so if you live in California, continue to watch for more action alerts.

Already this week, the Los Angeles police chief has said he’ll ignore requests from ICE to detain illegal aliens who are arrested and wanted for deportation.

Finally, I’d like to thank all of our Tweeters who responded to an alert from Eliano Younes on Wednesday regarding our new TV ad that ran on MSNBC before the debate. The open-borders groups had their Tweeters ready to go, but your efforts ensured we were able to balance out the debate. If you use Twitter, but don’t receive our alerts, please consider joining our Twitter email interest group.
