I searched -in vain- to find the image of Lucy VanPelt, from the cartoon strip “Peanuts”, shouting “Vote for the blockhead of your choice!”.   Anyone who is a boomer will remember that image.  With that in mind, I hope my conservative peers will respond to this posting, en masse, which reflects my abject dismay over wanting to be SO wrong, but turning out to be all too right.

Many months ago, a motley crew of so-called conservatives stated publicly their intent to run for the highest office in our country.   I was already starting to get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.  The best options, (in my opinion) were either not garnering anywhere near enough support to continue staying in contention, while other less than stellar ones, who had the “old boys club” ring about them, had a following, but not nearly enough to be clear winners.  A few, who were strong on some issues,  turned out to be RINOS on others.  (Perry and Amnesty as one example)   Others, some better choices, were unfortunately forced  (should I say intimidated?) by public scrutiny concerning  lack of circumspection in their personal lives, and withdrew from the race.   

The abysmal result was the nightmare I hoped would never happen: Mitt Romney, who, in my opinion, is an amoral, counterfeit, elitist, excuse for a Christian, had by attrition, won the lions share of electoral votes, and became the Republican nominee by proxy.

Why even bother with the “republican convention”? Why further insult our intelligence, waste time and money for this, when Romney has no one to oppose him? It’s like a Communist “election” with only one candidate to vote for!  Just make a formal announcement on the evening news that he is the Republican nominee.

He was selected for us. No conservative I know in my blogroll, or few in PAN for that matter, would have wanted Mitt to represent the Republican ticket.  I can’t speak for others, but I for one wish that Michele Bachmann had gained enough support to seriously oppose Romney.  I know that if only Congressman Allen West had decided to pick up the gauntlet, we would be in an excellent position to save an otherwise terminally ill America, hands down.  So here we are; the most pivotal, crucial, game changing election, some ninety-odd days away, with the future of America hanging in the balance, and we get to choose whether we want to take Hemlock, or Arsenic!

Obama was a willing disciple of Bill Ayers, of the Weather Underground; a terrorist organization. He did the opposite of every promise he made prior to his election. One of which was “transparency in government”

This is the most opaque administration in our history.  Obama spent millions to cover up his past.  He has done more to trample the Constitution than any other president, including effin Bush, and his damn “Patriot Act”. (what a travesty!)  

He bypasses Congress to ramrod, by “executive order” the most egregious things, including NDAA.  He is the most anti-Israel president to ever occupy the nations highest office.  Anyone still deluded enough to dare call him a reasonable choice?  [rhetorical question]

He appoints an openly homosexual B*****D in charge of our young, innocent youth right down to kindergarten; he is quite comfortable with adamantly supporting abortion.  I could go on and on.

However, Romney is everything as reprehensible. I will not back down from thinking he is an elitist, amoral, scummy, counterfeit Christian.  Romney’s god -in my opinion- is the dollar.   SEE:

The author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ, came to fulfill the law, not trash it; He never changed His mind about liars, homosexuals, adulterers, thieves, extortioners… they will have no place in His kingdom.

I’m faced with an indescribably impossible choice this November. God help me to make the right decision, where I see NO right decision. I’d rather He struck them both down before allowing either of them to be put in charge of our country!

I’m sick at heart at what has become of America.  If America really was “80% Christian” as has been stated, I don’t think we would be faced with this abysmal choice.
